What 2011 teams are qualifying this year??

While the ECNL "showcase" events are open to all teams through the nation, some will still have a bit more of a regional slant to them. For example, you'll see a lot more West Coast based college coaches at the ECNL Arizona showcase coming up in November. The January event in Florida is huge and draws coaches from all over the country. The event at the end of in SC is smaller and draws more east coast located schools. The only national event that you have the qualify for is the playoffs and that's the Championship bracket and some of the showcase levels at older ages. In years past it was the top 44 teams for ages U13 to U17. U18/U19 they only would take 16 teams. They ECNL then had a North America cup for the next 16 teams and this was I think at U16/U17 and then they had two different 16 team showcase events as well. So, 44+16+16+16 is 92 teams getting to participate in the last event of the season. The biggest thing, IMO, is playing well at these events and the players putting together a good series of clips highlighting their play. My DD got to be pretty good at watching her games, tagging the plays and then assembling the highlights into something cohesion and impactful. |

Nothing say that the parents should be the one doing it. Of course the players should be doing it. But u don’t just rely on the being at the showcase to be seen. |

TD/staff They are old enough to go to showcases as well. Hell the younger teams and RL teams are traveling. It appears you guys are intentionally lowering the experience bar for this team or the coach cant travel and/or isnt qualified/licensed to coach on his own. Deck of cards eventually falls. Similar to the 10s. Can’t circle the wagons around a the truth forever. Smh. Every opportunity for exposure counts. Every touch and highlight. Every opportunity to grow snd build character and iq. Those are things that are important heading into the recruiting unless you are not expecting and/or are incapable of helping those players with recruitment. Stunting growth through lack of experience is not the ecnl standard. Make it make sense. |

Results for the week. Another great week in ECNL going 6-1. Also predicted scores for not 1 but 2 games perfectly. The extra research paid off! Only missed the Arlington game. Never doubt the champs. Tough week in GA going 6-4. Kudos to Skyline, VRSC and SYC for proving me wrong. That is the issue right there. You are assuming there is a future in FVU. This is not McLean/VA Union. You are part of MV’s Brave new world. You can blame DB all you want but Brave makes the decisions. The Brave ecnl standard is no college commitments. |

Going all the way back to August with the original question that started this thread and none of the drama that ensued. It's top 3 to champions, with 4th or the MA Cup winner to North America Cup, 5th to a random showcase. Here's the status going into the last few games, in order of current standings. The top 5 going to Seattle is determined already unless somehow Beach wins both their games (Union, Arlington) with a GD that makes up the difference with VDA (currently ahead by 14) & VDA loses to Richmond. 1. Richmond: Champions league berth locked, wins conference with a win or draw vs Arlington 2. Arlington: Qualifies for champions league with any combo of 3 points in final 3 games (Union, Beach, Richmond), can't drop below 5th 3. CSA: Qualifies for champions league with a win over Wilmington and a loss/draw by Courage OR winning GD tiebreaker with Courage (currently +3) OR Arlington less than 3pts in last 3. CSA will know the exact GD needed as their last game is after Courage last game. Can't drop below 5th. 4. Courage: Needs help to qualify champions league, need a win over NC Fusion and less than 3 points by either Arlington or CSA OR win and 4+ GD more than CSA eventually gets in a win. Rabbit hole here of GD & GF vs GA if exactly 3 more GD, but they played to draw in regular season. North America cup with a win and none of those conditions UNLESS VDA wins MA cup bumping them to showcase. Can't drop below 5th 5. VDA: Can still technically qualify for championship berth, but needs a win over Richmond, and all 3 scenarios of losses/draws by both CSA & Courage along with Arlington only getting 1 point in last 3 games (0-2-1 or 0-3). Qualifies 4th with a win and any 1 of those 3 scenarios happening OR with MA cup championship. Qualifies for showcase in 5th with a loss or with a win and none of the 3 scenarios occurring. |

I have so little knowledge of what she was doing, I thought she used iMovie or something like that. She tells me she used CapCut. She used it for some school stuff and she had easy access to it. The first few highlight cuts that she did, she worked with a friend of her brothers who was familiar with the software. After the first couple, she did them on her own. They weren't Oscar cinemaphotography worthy, but they got the job done. Was able to circle herself in the clip, do some other basic editing by adding titles for upcoming clips, etc. FWIW, CapCut is another Bytedance product, which I was not aware of until I looked it up. |

You are correct. PP is incorrect. We were told they would go to four events and only went to wags. No showcases outside of Florida and NC next year (whut?!) Just enough time to get licensed. Case closed now. You are now upgraded back to the ecnl standard. Whew that was close. Cant wait to tell my DD she is getting the ecnl experience and to ignore her friends tiktok posts. On a different note. Any chance of refunds for the other events?! Asking for a few sideline friends. |
