All the NC teams are in town this weekend in GA. Unfortunately I anticipate them doing quite well. Look for SYC to beat Triangle and Alexandria to tie Triangle. Other than that will be all NC wins.

Over in ECNL, big matchup between Charlotte and Arlington. Charlotte needs a win to keep hopes alive for second place. Arlington needs a win to keep within striking distance of Richmond. However both teams are disappointed when the game ends in a draw. Arlington rebounds and beats Fusion on Sunday. FVU gets a much needed win against Fusion but loses to Charlotte.

Good luck to all!

Results for the week. Another great week in ECNL going 6-1. Also predicted scores for not 1 but 2 games perfectly. The extra research paid off! Only missed the Arlington game. Never doubt the champs. Tough week in GA going 6-4. Kudos to Skyline, VRSC and SYC for proving me wrong.

How can we make all the crying/whining go away and only have posts like these?
yes we all choose our beds and will have to sleep in them. Defensive staff was right about the showcases or lack thereof. Well at least for the first half of the season. Meh.

Anyways PP was pretty accurate this weekend. SYC seems to be the strongest team in GA so far at this age group. VDA has locked up the showcase looking at the future games. Playoffs are looking very competitive for the MA. Can the 804 pull it off? Can SYC cruise farther than the dmv?

SYC and McLean seem to be battling it out on the GA front. McLean is currently in the lead. They have a rematch in January which will be interesting.

TD/staff They are old enough to go to showcases as well. Hell the younger teams and RL teams are traveling. It appears you guys are intentionally lowering the experience bar for this team or the coach cant travel and/or isnt qualified/licensed to coach on his own.

Deck of cards eventually falls. Similar to the 10s. Can’t circle the wagons around a the truth forever.

Smh. Every opportunity for exposure counts. Every touch and highlight. Every opportunity to grow snd build character and iq. Those are things that are important heading into the recruiting unless you are not expecting and/or are incapable of helping those players with recruitment. Stunting growth through lack of experience is not the ecnl standard.

Make it make sense.

Were parents told at the beginning of the year that the 2011 would go to more than just 1 showcase?
You are correct. PP is incorrect. We were told they would go to four events and only went to wags. No showcases outside of Florida and NC next year (whut?!) Just enough time to get licensed. Case closed now. You are now upgraded back to the ecnl standard. Whew that was close. Cant wait to tell my DD she is getting the ecnl experience and to ignore her friends tiktok posts. On a different note. Any chance of refunds for the other events?! Asking for a few sideline friends.

WAGS, FL and NC are 3 events. Are you going to Jeff Cup?

they are comparing seasons so far with other clubs. You guys want a cookie for the three they listed when outside of your ID screwups it appears ur parents are expecting more. Apparently a letter has been sent so you know what they are looking for.

Yall need to take this to your own fvu thread. Obviously you are learning trial by fire that they dont trust your views.

And yea three events is pathetic by even GA standards.

Speaking of GA an app would be nice. And will be looking forward to that Mclean SYC game. Seems like that age group has flourished (mclean) since breaking off.

Results don’t speak for teams. Go watch the game for yourself and come back let us know how was the quality of the game and teams. The key here is GA in DMV is very weak/diluted. McLean is still the same, nothing changed but the conference as a whole is weak. CI is hardly the team to watch in MA South. MA north is much stronger with coppermine and the PA, NJ teams.

Anonymous wrote:PP here. So it is correct that the regional ECNL showcases are more important or equally important than the national event for recruiting exposure for kids of recruiting age? Let's not focus on the 2011s for this question, assume older girls. I am just trying to understand which events are important for exposure if a team doesn't qualify for any national events.

Best chance to get recruit is make a video highlight and contacting the college coaches and give them your schedule of tournaments/ games/ showcases whichever that maybe.

Stop obsessing! That should be something the player does, not the parent. You are spooking those coaches away. You have been warned.
thank you! Parents stop babying your kids, there should be no reason that your girl is not running her own accounts or at least trying to with a bit of help. Your reaching out to coaches and collages for your daughter then what. You need to let your kids live a little no reason you should be doing all the work bc it will show on your girl in the long run.

Who do we think is making it to nationals this year. I hear people say arlington, vda, courage, csa, and even fvu will be battling for the top spots. I'm just curious what other people think it will be like this year with all the tradings. I've heard and seen some fvu to vda and arlington. To add, I hear nva to fvu and arlington?? Also, is it top two?? Top three?? Look I'm not caught up with all this but can someone explain what's going on?🙏🏻
Going all the way back to August with the original question that started this thread and none of the drama that ensued. It's top 3 to champions, with 4th or the MA Cup winner to North America Cup, 5th to a random showcase.

Here's the status going into the last few games, in order of current standings. The top 5 going to Seattle is determined already unless somehow Beach wins both their games (Union, Arlington) with a GD that makes up the difference with VDA (currently ahead by 14) & VDA loses to Richmond.

1. Richmond: Champions league berth locked, wins conference with a win or draw vs Arlington

2. Arlington: Qualifies for champions league with any combo of 3 points in final 3 games (Union, Beach, Richmond), can't drop below 5th

3. CSA: Qualifies for champions league with a win over Wilmington and a loss/draw by Courage OR winning GD tiebreaker with Courage (currently +3) OR Arlington less than 3pts in last 3. CSA will know the exact GD needed as their last game is after Courage last game. Can't drop below 5th.

4. Courage: Needs help to qualify champions league, need a win over NC Fusion and less than 3 points by either Arlington or CSA OR win and 4+ GD more than CSA eventually gets in a win. Rabbit hole here of GD & GF vs GA if exactly 3 more GD, but they played to draw in regular season. North America cup with a win and none of those conditions UNLESS VDA wins MA cup bumping them to showcase. Can't drop below 5th

5. VDA: Can still technically qualify for championship berth, but needs a win over Richmond, and all 3 scenarios of losses/draws by both CSA & Courage along with Arlington only getting 1 point in last 3 games (0-2-1 or 0-3). Qualifies 4th with a win and any 1 of those 3 scenarios happening OR with MA cup championship. Qualifies for showcase in 5th with a loss or with a win and none of the 3 scenarios occurring.
don't sleep on Arlington. We're pushing for #1, just have to win the rest of our games, hope we do!! Fvu, richmond and beach left, hopefully we win (Richmond game will be a good watch).

If there is and your DD is at it, please stop it. They have enough pressure to have to deal with that too....
Anonymous
Not disagreeing but what pressure is on the girls rn??
Anonymous
Anonymous wrote:Not disagreeing but what pressure is on the girls rn??

1. Peer pressure
2. Bodies changing/puberty/acne, etc
3. Changing schools
4. Constantly being challenged for their spot at a club
5. Kids growing faster so competing with someone a foot taller and faster
6. Clubs merging, unmerging, switching leagues
7. Starting to think about getting into college and maybe a college team/recruiting videos

I could probably add about 10 more….

And now we can add grown adults creeping on their social media and posting about it on anonymous message boards.

On a lighter note. The college conference soccer playoffs have been exciting.

Right?! Penn State is out. Virginia is performing much better. Stanford always doing its thing. Georgetown has gone 10-0 although obviously the ACC is the strongest conference.
