If you keep somebody awake and under stress for a long enough period of time they will even confess to things they didn't do. Had a case in my city where a woman was murdered (lots of evidence leading to a car thief whose phone was in the area, although not enough to convict). But her psych med taking ex boyfriend turned himself in to police because he was afraid maybe he did it because he couldn't account for his time. They had to tell him to get lost because he was just delusional due to panic and upset and pre-existing mental health issues.
None of this speculative chit chat is going to result in this poor girl being found alive. How about we let this thread fade so people who casually knew her won't have to run across these random speculations? People sitting around accusing the young guy are also potentially contributing to destroying his life if he is innocent. Let the police do their jobs. DCUM isn't going to crack this case. |
Hmmmm…
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14499867/amp/sudiksha-konanki-joshua-riibe-missing-student-police-interview-punta-cana.html There have been threads on this site re teens and “breath play” - seems could lead to tragedy easily. As could anger. Force is harder to gauge when impaired, esp with a large size/weight differential. Lots of things could have happened very quickly without prolonged or nefarious intent. |
Feel free to scroll past this thread. There are thousands of articles, blogs, tik toks, etc. and this is a discussion forum. The missing girl is a local and it’s a parenting site, of course it is of interest. Participation is voluntary. |
I think he said she was walking out of the water but very possible for another wave to knock her over and pull her out again. |
Yet LE is investigating. They know information not yet released. |
Natalee Holloway. |
+100 Which is totally understandable, in their grief. But it doesn’t make this man guilty. |
Totally agree. |
He confirmed they met that night.

Him being drunk doesn’t make him innocent, either. |
I don’t understand what people are suggesting here. That he murdered her? Via strangulation or whacking her head with a rock, or drowning her? And then swam the body a ways out to sea? Or what? It really would not be a great way to cover up a murder. He would know the body is fairly likely to be recovered, and quite likely to have the cause of death investigated (for signs of a struggle- which there very likely would have been, or alternate cause of death). And all this without anyone seeing anything. He had no vehicle or easy means of disposing of the body elsewhere- and there are cameras and security everywhere in this resort area (even at night) if he’d tried to come up from the beach. In the same way he was captured returning to the hotel in the AM. And no one would notice he is lugging a dead body around?? Or working with a human trafficking ring? That is….incredibly unlikely. . |

Always some White frat boy. |
People are trying to say that she was drunk and drowned and he was there and him, being that he has a penis, should have helped her although he was in the same drink mental state as her. It’s the dumbest thing I have ever heard of. I hope they recover the body soon so that the only person they can possibly blame is her. It’s disgusting how every one is blaming the man, the friends, even the damn ocean but not her. |
Sure racist AH |
