| Just re-open PPP "loans" and the only qualification is federal student loan debt. Let kids steal six figures in PPP like millions of scam artist rich people the last few years. |
| It is DOA. As it should be. |
| lol, this pipe dream will end soon and debtors will need to start paying up. |
So many of you keep gleefully posting on here. My student loan bill was $975/month but haven't paid it in 2.5 years and won't be anytime soon. That's a lot of avocado toast and Starbucks for my Millennial budget |
Nope. Joe’ll keep extending the pause. And he’ll essily be reelected. Heck, we’re unlikely to ever see a Republican president again! |
I wish Joe did the same for my credit card debt! I’m still paying that off from college and it would help me a ton! |
Guess you will have to pay your bankruptcy lawyer to help with that. Credit card companies have a better lobby than student loans, sorry. |
|
Much of the problem is student loan servicers. They’re the biggest liars. I have been a government employee for 3 years. My employer was paying my loan before the pandemic. My loan servicing company just informed me that I get no credit for their 3 years of payments because I wasn’t in the proper payback category. Like WTF?!
Loan servicing is a for-profit business that makes money by screwing with borrowers. |
Not surprising given these loan servicers were basically shady debt collectors before Obama brought student loans back under the federal government. Before that happened, these companies would push borrowers into default so they could tack on "debt collection fees" as well as a percentage of the whole student loan debt then force the fed gov to buy back the loan + fees. They siphoned untold millions from the federal government just to run lazy call centers with untrained staff. |
That is pure speculation. His mother is a judge. That’s a salary of about $180k. She didn’t become an attorney until Bret was in high school. His parents are divorced. Dad has another wife. Great Catholic. |
| Feb 28 is less than a month away. Grab some popcorn and listen to the SC force all of you to pay back your debts. |
Declare bankruptcy on that. You can’t with student loans. |
| Why hasn’t Biden just modified his order to exclude anyone living in the 6 states that are suing. It will completely resolve the injury they allege. |
