Pelosi announces impeachment inquiry

Yeah, this point isn't very clear to the public. These people are testifying, or not testifying. But these aren't hearings. The hearings will come, with Pompeo or without him.

Eventually the truth comes out, and the liars lose the little credibility they have left.

The Boy Who Cried Wolf should be required reading in every newsroom and every Dem's office -- they have forgotten its crucial message.

Hard for the truth to come out when the administration stonewalls. Why won't State let Gordy Sondland testify? I'm sure he could clear up this whole mess.

When Pelosi decides to make this process legitimate, they will be more open to cooperation.

Sondland says he's open to telling Congress everything. But his boss told him he can't...

What's not legitimate about the process other than the fact that you don't like it? Are applicable laws or rules being broken in how the House is conducting this inquiry? If so, please cite to them.

It is legitimate, and right now they are obstructing. Even if Pelosi did hold a vote, they would still obstruct. Because that's what people do to hide their criminality.

LOL that you would think that Sondland's testimony would be anything but beneficial for Trump.
It isn't legitimate. There has been no vote taken so there is no "House" inquiry. Right now, it is a "Pelosi" inquiry. Not legitimate.

And, there is no reason why these cannot be public. Except that Schiff knows that the testimony these people are giving do not advance their cause.

Depositions are not usually public.

You keep saying this, and it is a nice right wing talking point, but it simply isn't accurate in fact or deed. And seriously, why would GOP Reps want to go on the record now and risk getting primaried? The fact is, there is already enough support in the house for an inquiry with 228 on the record as favoring.

When the Executive Branch continues to change the stories until something sticks with "the base" and people are blocked from testifying, then it just adds to the counts of obstruction. The American people understand when documents are not forthcoming and people are being held from appearing before Congress. These are not the acts of innocent people.

It didn't have to be a deposition. It could have been testimony before Congress and the American people.
But, Schiff is playing games.

You start with depositions. Then you have the hearings.

This isn't a game. This is an impeachment.

Then, they should make it official and take a vote. Why is Pelosi not doing this if she KNOWS she has the votes?
When this is a legitimate process, and the GOP has the same rights of subpoena and such that the Dems have, people will cooperate. Until then, I don't blame them for not participating in this sham.

That’s not how this works. I guess I can’t blame Russian trolls for not understanding.

This was before Trump sold out the Kurds and withdrew from the open skies treaty.

All of Trump's actions are going to force the GOP senators hands.

Nancy needs to take a vote.
And, Schiff needs to release the transcripts of the interviews that have been conducted behind closed doors.
This should not be a secretive process and Congress should go on record with their votes.

Are you this demanding of all of the transcripts, documents and testimony that Trump is withholding? Where are the taxes he PROMISED to release in 2015?

Hey, genius... we are talking about the impeachment "hearings."
If the Democrats are so keen on removing a president who was elected by the people, they should allow the public who voted for him to either view the hearings they hold or, at a minimum, read the transcripts of those interviews.
Why is Schiff reluctant to release the transcripts? I think we know why.

You have forgotten the crucial lesson of Watergate:. It isn't,t the crime that gets you, IT'S THE COVERUP! I hope every damn one of Trump's accessories "before and and after" the fact go to prison.

Truptrolls on this thread don't know the difference and don't care. They don't know if what is happening is standard and lawful procedure, and they will not take the time to find out, and won't believe anyone who tells them it is correct.

And you know this how? Please vote your source/link. Oh, rats,. You can't, because you have none except the jumbled up space in your head.

Doesn't matter if Pelosi holds a vote for the inquiry or not, Trumpsters will find something, *anything*, to whine and howl about. That's their M.O. you see it at the town halls, where a few Trumpsters in their MAGA hats interrupt the discourse and shout above everyone. They are not unlike terrorists in that regard, except their bombs are verbal.

And, Trump was elected by the Electoral College, not the people. Most people don't like him.
