A group of candidates that focuses on families and children first? Have you made FOIA requests that follow the money - found out who made money off keeping the schools closed? Or are you just tilting at windmills?

Followed the money? I can’t think of any industry that would have made money out of keeping kids out of school.

Ha! Who signed the distance learning (software and associated hardware/infrastructure) contracts? Did they personally benefit financially? Their families? Any conflicts of interest? How about the HARD push f oh r things like ST math?

Right. No one made any money.

People are often disappointed by the hypocrisy of elected officials, especially when they pretend to care about values like equity.

If you look back at boundary changes over the past decade by the mostly Democrat or all-Democrat FCPS School Board, almost every one increases the disparities between nearby schools (Woodson/Annandale, Thoreau/Jackson, Langley/McLean). And then the School Board members act troubled by the problems of their own making.

Exactly. But it let some petty, small people feel falsely important for one brief shining moment before absolutely NOTHING happens and no one is removed, and really, isn't that what's important?

Oh boy, here come the legal eagles again. You guys are clearly hack lawyers if you have nothing better to do then throw out your constantly wrong opinions and guarantees about the outcomes of these cases. I'm glad I'm married to a lawyer that went to a real law school and has a real career.

…I went to a T5 and work at a BigLaw firm. Try again. I’m just a moderate who doesnt believe what Laura Ingraham and Rory Cooper serves up.

But how do your credentials stack up against a lawyer's WIFE?

Sorry I missed your previous posts. Has she done anything right?

Why don't you try answering that poster's question instead of deflecting?

It’s not a serious question. Previous threads are easy to find, as is the petition.

Then it should be easy enough for you to list her “sins” here.

And even easier for you to read the prior threads and the petition/talking points.

If you want to make the case she's doing a good job, go for it. Over 5000 of her constituents were prepared to assert otherwise under penalty of perjury.

Oooh, they signed a petition. What warriors. /s

Are you fatalistic, or just another D who rubs in people's faces the fact that a ham sandwich endorsed by the FCPS would have a good chance of winning? That tide may be about to turn.

"May be." The election is two years from now. Not going to happen. No, not even if "all your friends" assure you they agree with you and will vote the way you demand.

Plus, I think the recall/frustration with current School Board will bring motivated voters to the polls in November.

Agreed. The biggest benefit of the petition, even if it fails, is making voters aware of the loonies on this SB and hopefully voting accordingly.
we know who the loonies are, and they are not on the school board.

The vast majority of FCPS voters disagrees with you.

You're wrong, but don't worry, you'll find out in 2023. LOL.

Because they're delusional and clueless, but fancy themselves freedom fighters a la Les Miserables.

IDK. I’m a very moderate Dem. but I’m pretty appalled at all the equity rabbit holes this Board went down, while they couldn’t even get school open. There are some members of the Board I would keep. But Maren, Cohen, Fritsch, Omeish, etc. Oh heck no.

Yep, but none were on the school board.

For months they were the ones that recommended schools stay closed. It wasn't that they couldn't get schools open, it's that they didn't necessarily want to - until numbers were improved and teachers were vaccinated.
