Money Line on this is over/under 0.0% to succeed. Even with these odds I pick under.

Those are also about the odds of Elaine Tholen running and getting elected again in 2023.

Oh boy, here come the legal eagles again. You guys are clearly hack lawyers if you have nothing better to do then throw out your constantly wrong opinions and guarantees about the outcomes of these cases. I'm glad I'm married to a lawyer that went to a real law school and has a real career.

…I went to a T5 and work at a BigLaw firm. Try again. I’m just a moderate who doesnt believe what Laura Ingraham and Rory Cooper serves up.

Kind of disenguous of open_fcps to hail this as a victory when all that's happened is that the court affirms that the signatures are legitimate. I mean, yay, you got 5000 angry parents to sign your petition. NBD.

THANK YOU. I feel really sad for parents who have unwittingly joined this OAN/FOX News-approved cause. I know a couple people who were previously quite liberal that signed the petition - wouldn't be surprised if now they're getting slammed with "vote for Youngkin" texts. You guys KNOW who the head of openFCPS is, right? A right-wing political operative.

+1 Yes I’d love for the recall to succeed - it would be amazing. But I’m not hopeful that we’ll get rid of these people before 2023. But I AM hopeful that they’ll go running back to private life and stay out of politics forever.

Yawn. Thousands of parents literally do not care who “heads” #OpenFCPS. They just think the priorities of this School Board are nuts (and Tholen has been a huge disappointment on a host of issues since her election) and the petition is their best available outlet at the moment to express their dissatisfaction. You don’t sound any different than right-wing partisans complaining about George Soros giving tons of money to Democratic candidates like Steve Descano when you harp on donors to, or “leaders” of, #OpenFCPS.

Can someone explain the reason given for recalling this school board member?

I’m sure you can find the petition online.

They targeted those with the smallest vote margins. It’s not about anything Tholen did. It’s just part of this well-funded campaign by the right wing: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.usnews.com/news/education-news/articles/2021-07-12/school-board-recalls-force-contentious-fights-about-race-virus-politics-on-local-stages%3fcontext=amp

Hmm, it reads like she is being recalled for doing something the voters don't like. I don't see this recall going anywhere, particularly with partisan judges.

Recall of Loudoun School Board actually has a legal violation behind it.

The flyer is pretty damning.
