Even if the petition ultimately fails, the School Board members are put on notice that their actions are being monitored (and no longer blindly trusted by FCPS families). Plus, I think the recall/frustration with current School Board will bring motivated voters to the polls in November.
Agreed. The biggest benefit of the petition, even if it fails, is making voters aware of the loonies on this SB and hopefully voting accordingly.
we know who the loonies are, and they are not on the school board.
The vast majority of FCPS voters disagrees with you.
You're wrong, but don't worry, you'll find out in 2023. LOL.
IDK. I’m a very moderate Dem. but I’m pretty appalled at all the equity rabbit holes this Board went down, while they couldn’t even get school open. There are some members of the Board I would keep. But Maren, Cohen, Fritsch, Omeish, etc. Oh heck no.
For months they were the ones that recommended schools stay closed. It wasn't that they couldn't get schools open, it's that they didn't necessarily want to - until numbers were improved and teachers were vaccinated.
