I don’t know how popular the VP really is.
Earlier Tuesday, CNBC reported that Harris canceled a fundraising event in New York amid a flood of recent reports describing her campaign as chaotic. Some of her top bundlers expected her fourth quarter totals to be a “disaster” and noticed that the “events were not going well,” according to a member of her finance committee, who spoke to CNBC on Tuesday on the condition of anonymity. CNBC reported in October that donors were struggling to persuade their networks to write checks to her campaign. In some cases, many of her supporters have told the campaign that they will not host events for her. https://www.cnbc.com/2019/12/03/kamala-harris-drops-out-of-2020-presidential-race.html Her campaign was described as chaotic and her supporters bailed early. Now her WH office is being described as a sh-tshow. Her popularity poll show she’s at 46% in the favorable or somewhat favorable categories. I don’t know how the Russian troll thing still works, with the above info. Denial, I guess. |

This is how she loses - misidentifying the problem as Russian trolls. She has real organizational issues. She needs to pull it together because other Dems NOT trolls are angling to get her. |

Yup. She was always a checkbox choice, not the next-level politician we need. And to the haters: her world and mine intersected decades ago. While there might have been potential, the unfortunate reality is that most of her shtick is based on appearances and it’s not enough. |

PP, care to share more? I also know people connected with her and the recent news stories bolster their personal accounts to me. |

She’s very good looking and the child of two very smart people who were quite brave. Unfortunately, she’s been more of a short-cut taker than someone with notable bravery. We desperately need someone with great bravery. |

My contacts didn’t make mention of anything about bravery….just condescension and authoritarian/completely unrealistic expectations. |

Has she always been one to move in the direction of the way the wind blows? It's like she has no strong convictions. About anything. |

No mention about strong convictions. Mainly talk about how she frequently appears speaks in a condescending tone (and we just see small snippets on news clips)…..she’s 10x worse to her staff. Makes for a very threatening/dismissive work environment. Thus, the departures of key members recently. |

Her parents did things that required real courage and vision. She's someone who has taken cynicism to new heights. And she rode in on the horse of performative privileged-white self-affirmation. What a joke. |

+100 And very, VERY surface-level ones at that. Once you start looking beyond her being a woman, the cracks start to unravel. This isn't the first time she's dealt with issues related to being a terrible manager/leader. If even the young kids who purport to worship her can't take it, you know she's a terror. |
|
I wonder how many (if any) of her staff from her Senate days followed her to the VP office.
If few/zero, that’s very telling….. I’ve worked with some wonderful leaders and would follow them in a supporting role from client to client. High turnover is always a reflection of the leadership. |

I can confirm this based on my personal experience. |

+1. Yes, I think people in her inner sphere are talking freely now that multiple stories have been published by a variety of sources. Quite a topic of conversation over the holiday weekend. |

My question is: how bad will it get? I knew she was mostly hype, but that could be all kinds of awful. |

Her handlers will put her in a position to “soften” her image to the public. Just wait. |
