note how all of the sudden, Fox News and GOP politicians including McConnell, are urging people to wear masks. |
I guess finally they realize they are still the human species. |
I actually see this as a sign that the Republicans are breaking with Trump. Perhaps they feel more confident than I do that Trump is going to lose in November. |
Many pages ago, I said that the flu makes it to rural america, every year.
The delay in the progression of this epidemic from the most to least dense areas was predictable, but also inevitable. Trump has been practicing Hope-based medicine, and one of those many hopes is that small town America would not be hit. This P is an idiot, and is out of touch with reality. COVID started in a city in China, found its way to Italy and then NY, and separately found its way to the West Coast, then found it way to random senior homes, then found its way to meat processing plants in small rural towns. The likelihood that it would not find its way to other rural parts of this country is nill. Rural America should thank NY and WA for locking down. Otherwise, COVID would have hit sooner and harder to the rest of the country. Similarly, the dramatic decrease in domestic and international travel slowed up COVID. This P has little sympathy for those states who failed to take it seriously. NY no doubt made some mistakes, but it took COVID seriously and took affirmative steps to slow its spread. Little Man did nothing! |
Pretty amazing. Some us we social distancing in February. Clueless. |
It's too little too late with the mask wearing.
Trump and minions have been teaching the red staters it's bad and "Dem" to wear masks for months and their supporters aren't people who change easily. |
Thanks Houston protesters! |
Breitbart has a dedicated tab and has since the virus got hot in China. You were saying? |
Interesting article. WOnder if the press has an agenda here? |
It's called reporting the news. |
Government responses to epidemics tend to be political. This one is no exception. It happens all over the world to one degree or another. |
There’s been no spike from protests. If there had been we would have seen one in New York, and we haven’t. “For more than two months, the authorities had been urging New Yorkers to stay indoors and keep their distance from others. But after the police killed George Floyd in Minneapolis, tens of thousands of New Yorkers poured into the streets, day and night, to protest police brutality and racism. Epidemiologists braced for a surge of new coronavirus cases. But it has not come yet. On May 27, the day before the protests began in New York City, some 754 Covid-19 cases were diagnosed, according to the city’s Department of Health. That was the last time the city recorded more than 700 cases on a single day.” https://www.nytimes.com/2020/07/01/nyregion/nyc-coronavirus-protests.html?smid=fb-share |
