Its not just a medical problem, its an economic one and you need a strategy that addresses both priorities as same time.

The driver is Washington : Congress usually goes to Summer Recess when ? Late July is it ?

Likely, given that every US Senator & Congress person is putting out fires in their home State between NOW and when does Congress usually re-open ? Late August or Labor Day ?

DC Mayor just wants her bail out to keep paying her city workers and to supplement lost tax revenue, so as soon as Congress gives that to her ( hey, she would really appreciate the worst models you have being published as often as you can ) Once she gets her bail out, she will have no incentive to re-open any DC business

Of course this will be contexts as " for our safety "

ALL THE WHILE , of Course, THERE WILL BE NO TESTING IN DC as we don't want Data interfering with Politics , do we ?

So, that job of yours, better hope that they continue to pay you until After Labor Day or After Congress is due to return, because it is Politics that is driving the management of this, NOT science.

Steep? more like plateauing.

Right - How are non essential workers supposed to go back to work without child care?

They’re not. One parent will have to work from home until phase 2.

Can you help me find this info? I'm googling but all I can find is the increase of cases and deaths? Thanks for your help.

Minimum of 2 weeks. We have to have a 14 day downward trajectory of new cases before entering a phase.

Thank you for sharing! I’ve been wondering about this. Very interesting. Who developed these stages? Is this an “official” plan?

The IHME model has been updated and they’ve added recommendations for starting to lift restrictions. DMV is June 8 for right now.

Interesting. And we have some real-life test cases with Florida beaches reopening and Texas starting to ease lockdown restrictions. We'll have some good data to look at by June 8.

Have you looked at how many positive cases are Duval county right now? Do you believe everything you read or see on the internet? Do some freakin’ research!

That recommendation includes a lot of testing, contact tracing, isolation.

Please elaborate. Do you mean that watching Florida and Texas ease restrictions will give us no information? We should pay no attention to them, here in the DMV or anywhere in the country?

Or do you mean that opening beaches will lower the number of cases in Florida, regardless of the current trend?

https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/map.html

I clicked on US, and in the very bottom right I clicked daily cases.

The economist says we peaked a few weeks ago.
