"Guessing" is NOT science. Shame on NIH and CDC. |
Exactly. People here need to wake up!!!! |
I think people who don't understand the feedback loop between models and human behavior are the most annoying people of this pandemic. |
Yes it is. Do you know anything about science? Educated guesses and refining those guesses using data. |
They are putting out models with the information available at the moment, which keeps changing as they get more data. This is a completely novel disease. Why is everything always a giant conspiracy to Trumpsters? |
Pretty sure the models have md and dc past peak. |
Confirmed, Imhe model says md peak was April 18. |
This. Also everything I've read seems to indicate that Nova is on track with DC and MD and that its only the ROVA that has not peaked yet. So everyone in this area has peaked. After two straight weeks of declining cases we should be able to slowly start opening up. Which brings us to a little before May 8th! |
Does anyone have a chart of the DMV case count each day? Hospitalizations? Deaths?
I really like the charts that Cuomo has b/c it helps to show the "curve." Anything like this for DMV? I have seen the 91-DIVOC charts -- but those are by state and don't show hospitalizations. |
https://wtop.com/local/2020/03/coronavirus-test-results-in-dc-maryland-and-virginia This one is easy to look at. |
Best guess at start of Phase 1? May 15? June 1? |
Their models keep proving to be useless. |
Yeah, the models have been 100% wrong 100% of the time. Seems like it’s time to stop calling them science. Might as well revert to common sense: we cannot sit in our house while our economy burns to the ground for the years it will take for a vaccine that may never arrive. Time to resume life as best we can. |
That's not what common sense says. But whatevs. |
I don't know. You'd think they'd dig it. They are always watching the weather channel to track hurricanes- same theory for how data changes- it's always a function of the knowledge at that moment. |
