you people are out of your minds. you need to get a hobby or a life as your daughters world of soccer is of little importance in life. What exactly is this about being top 4 or top 10?
How about my kid starts and gets all the playing time she can handle. She enjoys the competition. Enough said. Thats all that I care about. Nothing more Bring on some more good players, thats what competing is all about. If they beat her out she will figure it out and deal with it. End of story. Who cares about all this other nonsense |
FCV U15 much more likely to displace ECNL rosters than the younger ones. They are much much better. We all want our DD’s ECNL teams to be better, but nobody wants to be kicked off the team. Funny how that works. |
Is there another major metropolitan area with 4 ECNL clubs? Or 6, if counting BRYC, Loudoun, McLean, VDA, MD United, and Bethesda? Richmond and Baltimore excluded, due to being geographically distant enough to make commuting difficult.
The best of the best ought to funnel into these existing ECNL clubs, if the DMV wants to remain competitive nationally. Absorbing the best of the DA players will be good for our local teams to excel on a national stage. The local soccer scene is strong and about to get stronger. If I'm from out of state, I'd fear playing Virginia teams. |
Charlotte now has 4 ECNL teams on the boys side: Charlotte Independence Pro Charlotte Independence South Charlotte Soccer Academy Charlotte Soccer ECNL https://www.soccerwire.com/news/ecnl-boys-brings-in-host-of-new-clubs-to-mid-atlantic-conference/ |
![]() Why should they be more feared now than they were when there were only two? |
When there are 4 ECNL clubs that is what competing is. Each kid, to start at that level needs to be the top 4-6 players in NoVA at that position at that age. It very quickly stops being about the best in your club at your age now you have to be the BEST in a region. This is the reality and this is what you wanted. If your kid is among the best players north of Richmond you should be just fine. |
This is a underrated post! |
We haven't heard anything, and if the track record of non-communication from FCV continues, we don't really expect to hear anything either. |
Who should be just fine?
What are you talking about? There are hundreds and hundreds if not thousands of youth players north of Richmond that are just fine with their place in soccer world. What is this top 4 nonsense you are imposing on them? Stop it already Let these kids compete and enjoy the game. I hate to tell you but your kid is not the next Wambach or Lavelle or ??? She might be an amazing talent that will have a long and successful youth career but its over all too soon and she will be working in the same office as the kid that rode the bench making the same money or less probably than that kid |
If you are going to hold onto a ECNL spot being top 4-6 in the region is what it is going g to take. That is the point of the league, the goal of being an elite team in a national elite league. That there are thousands of players who are just fine is not the point. Of the thousands of kids playing your kid will need to be among the top 80 at her age. If she is then she will be fine. |
Are there any FCV players planning to stay with FCV next year if they don’t get ECNL? |
No. |
Not getting Ecnl. |
I don't know about the players but some of the parent's will certainly still be there seeing as they're permanent fixtures on Bobby's a**... |
I thought he was interviewing for director of ECNL at Loudoun? |
