Wisconsin Battleground state will result in deaths

Trump lied. Evers asked the legislature to approve the absentee ballot plan on March 27.

The endorsement Trump refers to, which he falsely claimed led to this, was on Monday April 6.

Republican Legislature has blood on their hands. They should have fixed this.

We need to have nationwide mail in voting for November

The Dem governor was trying to keep the primary on time until Friday

They was f to support voter fraud by allowing super relaxed conditions but only now insist they persist until November. The GOP cried foul - which they should and now Dems insist it’s not fair. Wisconsin went for Trump and they can’t have that anymore.

They want to let absentee ballots be postmark after the Election Day, because that doesn’t cry “let’s see how many votes we are down so we know how many to manufacture”

NO. The Democratic Governor had been trying to convince the Republican state legislature for weeks to move the date of the primary, particularly after the elections boards were having a terrible time keeping up with the record number of absentee ballot requests. He himself could not change the election date.

This is barely coherent so I’m at a loss as to how to respond, but it’s not “voter fraud” to request an absentee ballot and mail it in.

They wanted absentee ballots to be postmarked after Election Day BECAUSE PEOPLE WEREN'T GOING TO RECEIVE THEIR BLANK BALLOTS UNTIL AFTER ELECTION DAY because the board of elections offices were so backed up with requests.

New Berlin, population 39,740. Mostly white, Republican-voting suburb. 7 polling places.

Milwaukee, population 595,351. 39% Black, 15% other POC. Heavily Democrat-voting. 5 polling places.

My favorite was the GOP state House speaker saying it's perfectly safe while wearing PPE.

Who is in charge of the Board of Elections?

Just a guess--but New Berlin is in a different county. Polling places rely on volunteers (they are usually paid--at least, in Virginia--but the pay is pitiful for the hours involved, no one does it for the pay).
It is possible that New Berlin has more people willing to work the polls. I know that Fairfax County puts out requests for people to work the polls and they don't always get a wonderful response. I've seen requests go out almost up to the polling day--but it does require training.

You're searching for complicated answers when the Republicans who DID this have been clear - what they did was try to make it hard for Democrats to vote, in various ways.

They were willing to make thousands of Wisconsinites sick with a deadly pandemic to try to rig the vote for their preferred judge.

Why are you making incorrect guesses? The polling places were closed deliberately. For purposes...

And thanks to Wisconsin's sacrifice, we will have it. Naysayers notwithstanding.

Who is in charge of the Board of Elections?

The republican secretary of state, and the commissioners in each of the counties.

You are right in that it is a guess, but you guessed wrong. This is what is called voter suppression. It happens in Ohio, throughout the south and in Wisconsin. Have easy access to polling places with many voting machines in white, suburban areas, but few polling places with fewer voting machines in densely populated urban areas. There is a reason you see these huge lines every 2-4 years on TV. The media go to where they can get picture. And picture of people standing in lines is sexier than an empty parking lot with no lines. There needs to be federal standards as to the number of people per precinct and the number of voting booths (not machines, thank you) in each polling place. States need to make mail-in ballots and early voting a regular practice.

Without voting that is accessible by the electorate, we aren't much of a democratic republic.

Wisconsin SoS is a Democrat: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doug_La_Follette

I'm wondering if he won't certify the election.
