Popular vacation destinations you’re not interested in

We avoid elitist destinations like Venice, Buenos Aires, London and Paris.

We only travel to places where real people live, breath and work.

That's a valid complaint re Venice, but Buenos Aires, London and Paris are both massive cities where millions of "real people" work. You just need to plan your vacations better.

Internationally - China, India, Jamaica

What did you see? It's a huge state.

It's hilarious that your response to Arizona is, "It's a huge state!" but you don't bat an eye at China and India - two humongous countries.

Fair enough.

But it's easy to get pretty much anywhere you can think of in AZ. You don't like the cities and towns, you can get to nature. You don't like nature or cities, you can check out ghost towns, or spas.

That's more challenging in China and India.

You think it's difficult to find a variety of vacation destinations in . . . China, and India? But Arizona just has everything?

Good grief.

India- I have always been interested in going, but many coworkers from India have said I am too sensitive/ will not have any fun due to overwhelming poverty.
Israel, not that I know anyone who has gone there for vacation who was not visiting family
South America- stray dogs/ big spiders. No way.
China/ Japan/ Hong Kong/ Singapore/ Korea

I’m South American and I can understand why someone wouldn’t want to visit (personal safety/crime) but dogs and big spiders? That’s news to me.

STRAY dogs. I get very upset by homeless animals. I would spend my whole visit trying to find them homes, and that is not a vacation. And the spiders- I am scared of anything bigger than a dime.

I don't think they are strays, but outside dogs. Most are friendly, fed dogs that someone or neighbohood is caring for. Now if there are pack of stray dogs, then I would be concern/nervous.

Why? I’m just curious. I’ve never been but want to go.

Those are “popular” destinations?

For me, it’s Hawaii, hands down. So far, so expensive, so crowded.

Yeah. Africa is small. And not diverse. Everywhere else is like those two places.

Duh .. everyone knows Morocco, Liberia, Zambia, and the Seychelles are EXACTLY THE SAME!

Y'all seem triggered by that. Puzzling.

This thread is called "vacations destinations that you're not interested". The africa poster responded with that information. Nowhere did he/she post anything about Africa being small, or exactly the same, s/he just posted that they are not interested which answers the question originally asked.

Please get off of your vacation high horse, no one here is impressed that you enjoy vacations to Liberia and the Seychelles.

Since you and the pp don’t seem to get it, let’s break it down (oh and you both seem defensive if you want to call someone triggered). It’s like saying, I don’t need to visit Canada since I’ve been to America. Or I’ve been to CA and AZ so I don’t need to visit anywhere else in America. I don’t want to call it ignorance but...

Considering the size of Africa, it's more like Rio doesn't interest me so the Grand Canyon isn't on my vacation list.

WTF cares?

This thread is filled with subtle racism from basic urban Karens to scared to travel outside of the western world because of their ethnocentric prejudices.
