Any cruise - I don't like being confined to a boat with no means of escape
Vegas - went and loathed it
Costa Rica - pretty much all of the attractions of the place I have done something similar in other countries - would rather do something different
Hawaii - if I am going to get on an airplane that long, I might as well stay on a plane a bit longer and go to an Asian country or Australia

This thread is called "vacations destinations that you're not interested". The africa poster responded with that information. Nowhere did he/she post anything about Africa being small, or exactly the same, s/he just posted that they are not interested which answers the question originally asked.

Please get off of your vacation high horse, no one here is impressed that you enjoy vacations to Liberia and the Seychelles.

Since you and the pp don’t seem to get it, let’s break it down (oh and you both seem defensive if you want to call someone triggered). It’s like saying, I don’t need to visit Canada since I’ve been to America. Or I’ve been to CA and AZ so I don’t need to visit anywhere else in America. I don’t want to call it ignorance but...

+1. The people who don’t enjoy just relaxing at the beach are those that freak out at having to spend consecutive days at home with their children and must plan an outing. Some people are afraid of their own company.

Paris. DH speaks French and studied abroad in France, so he has been pushing Paris for our next vacation. It just doesn’t do it for me.

India - most people I know that have gone as tourists (without a family/friend locally there) say it is extremely dirty and the poverty is overwhelming.

Vegas - been there. Not my cup of tea

Australia - presume it is great; just not really interested

Considering the size of Africa, it's more like Rio doesn't interest me so the Grand Canyon isn't on my vacation list.
