Exactly! If you are in this boat and want to know, ask the coaches who has committed-don’t see why they would hide that info. I’m not sure how it would help someone coming in from the outside unless they somehow know the existing players already!

That may not be comfortable to ask. Everybody is different in their comfort level in talking to coaches. Most clubs take the drama and guess-work out of it by letting the team know its roster.

Why would anyone throw away $1200 on being a PT player? There’s no guaranteed playing time, just practices. I can’t imagine the ft girls will want them around... it’s just competition. Of course, MU doesn’t have a second team so they’ll need these extra girls just for scrimmaging I guess.

No playing tine and you have to play at great fall reston on some crap team and pay your regular travel soccer expenses. That sounds ridiculous... these people must be desperate. Nice way to build your daughters confidence!

I’m wondering the same thing. What exactly is so exciting about this move? Spirit bailed and left this in gf hands, and now everyone is supposedly coming out of the woodwork? I don’t buy it, I feel bad for the younger teams as they were already pummeled this year and what will be different for next ?

It's not GF, it's the Spirit coaches without the old direction to add players to overfill rosters. They are being more selective about players who are accepted and many are not returning. It's a fresh start. All teams can use it, not just the youngest ones. Thanks for your "concern."

So the issues at Spirit were caused by the pro team affiliation? Now that’s over so they’ll be successful. Really? People believe this?

Not because of the pro team affiliation as such. Because in effect the DA teams were a source of income for the pro team, as many on this board suspected and suggested. It was with the "free"/not free tickets, the large rosters, paying to watch the pro team practice ($500 by the way). With all of those gone, MU is free to shrink the rosters, which was the main cause of the playing up because we had to "pack in" as many as possible.

There are players at the ID sessions. However, MU already has a talent pool to draw from. It was watered down with the extra players and the players that shouldn't have been playing up.
