| Honestly I feel sorry for him. Something is just not right. I think it is horrible that he wasted police resources and was also willing to trash those brothers but something is just not right with him. He needs help and not jail. Shame i. his family for allowing this to go on and on. They clearly know he has some mental issues. |
+1. |
Yes. He’s an entitled fame whore. This conviction is the help he needs to take responsibility for what he did. |
He has some serious mental health issues that are not being addressed. |
| Exactly. It is really sad but I blame the media for just believing him in the beginning because it made him go deeper in this lie and also his family who knows better. He needs help desperately and his family encouraged this lie. It have a feeling he funds the whole family and of course that is never a good thing. I really hope he does not go to jail. He should work to pay back resources and go to some sort of rehabilitation. |
I agree that I think he needs some mental health help and not jail. If judges keep letting rapists stay out of jail because it will ‘ruin their lives’ then I don’t think Jussie going to jail is justice. That being said, I don’t think he is bankrolling his whole family. He has several successful siblings. |
Yeah, Jurnee Smolett from Friday Night Lights, Lovecraft County, Birds of Prey, etc is way more successful than him… |
|
I think his career may be over.
I think a lot of people are going to judge him harshly over this staged hoax (as they well should!) He doesn’t deserve a second chance in my opinion. |
He clearly has a personality disorder, i.e., Narcissistic Personality Disorder or Antisocial Personality Disorder. He took issue with something about security at his show or letters, and he was gonna teach those producers or whoever a lesson. That's not a treatable mood disorder (i.e., depression, anxiety). Give me a break. We should not turn this around like he was a poor depressed man victim. The victims were the police department and the public, especially people who felt personal horror and pain believing his story. Where is their apology? He isn't even sorry. No, he is digging his heels in. |
That's actually incorrect -- well, it's correct that it's not a mood disorder, but it's incorrect that personality disorders aren't treatable. DBT was developed to treat personality disorders. I think it's even more effective with anxiety, OCD or mood disorders as well--but it can significantly help a lo of people with personality disorders if they acknowledge they have a problem and need treatment (which some do). It does seem like a personality disorder to me, maybe borderline, as they can sometimes react in really outsized and irrational ways when they feel that their needs haven't been met. DBT is all about giving people the skills to deal with things in a more productive way. |
You are splitting hairs - isn't it true therapy has a very low success rate for a personality disorder? Like single digits? It's a personality for goodness sake anyway. Good luck changing a bad personality. |
Therein lies part of the problem. If he was white the media would have called it out right away. The far left media has an agenda and ignored what everyone knew or suspected. I wish he would have gotten a heavier sentence, but at least he is going to be punished. |
At least not in entertainment. He made it worst by trying to pin it all on those brothers. Shows just what a DB he is! |
| Heard on a Chicago radio station that he and his attorneys plan to appeal. Come on Jussie, write a check ($130,000) to the police go away. |
