Why was this thread closed in entertainment and left open in polticics. How is this political and not about an entertainer?

Well, charging him with 16 felonies for making a false report was a bit much. They're basically never pursued -- so now we have another example of when filing a false report is not pursued.

Prosecutors: "After reviewing all of the facts and circumstances of the case, including Mr. Smollett’s volunteer service in the community and agreement to forfeit his bond to the City of Chicago, we believe this outcome is a just disposition and appropriate resolution."

His bond was $100,000. WTH is going on over at the Chicago ADA’s? This is a bad look. So bad.

There is more going on than meets the eye. It has to do with Avenatti and Geragos. Bigger fish involved.

He's already been FIRED from Empire & he's been treated like a pariah by the cast, crew & executive at Fox... could he have a lawsuit for unlawful termination??

They could have cut his scenes from the 2 remaining episodes of this season, but they probably should have done their due diligence & waited for the investigation to be over (considering its the off season anyway!).

It's a strange way of dropping charges, by including volunteer hours (that were previously served for something else) and the bond forfeiture. That's only halfway dropping charges.
