How tall are you and what is your goal weight?

I haven't read all of the threads and we're 10 pages in but I don't understand how people can gain information from height/weight on the internet. We all know that muscle occupies less space than fat. So a 5'7" 130 woman that has low body fat is going to look a lot different than a 5'7 woman 115 who has a higher body fat.

What information does posting height/weight stats on the internet get you?

5'3" 173 pounds and a size 4.

I’m 5’3, and more focused on size than weight. I’m a size 6, would like to be a size 4 (and more toned in it midsection!).

Close to 250 pounds currently, no ideal weight. I'm fit, and I eat healthier/less than most people. My family has genetic weight issues, and there's nothing I can do.

How does it work that you eat less than most people but weigh more? Is it your basal metabolism? What is your BMR if you dont mind? I hear people say this- they eat 1000 calories a day and are still 100 lbs overweight but I don't understand how that works.

I barely eat anything. I can run 8 miles in about 44 minutes. I'm fast and I'm a size 2.

I'm 5'4" 143. I'd like 135, but am happy with where I am.

Can you please explain to me why this is ridiculous? I know my body. What makes you think you’re an expert on MY body?

I just can't understand how this is possible.

I am 5'8.5" and weighed in at 126 pounds this evening. I just tried on the pants I thought I'd like to wear tomorrow, a pair of Theory pants that are a size 6. They BARELY fit me; if I gain even a few ounces, I'm sure they'll be too small.

The pencil skirt I wore today was a size 8, and it fit me like a glove.

I know sizes differ, but how I could be the same clothing size as you despite me being 80 pounds lighter and 2 inches taller, makes no sense whatsoever.

It's the other way around. I wear a 6 in Theory but an 8-10 at Old Navy.

Age 54 and 5’9’, 127 lbs. A fit and toned size 6 at this weight and happy. Have always been thin, about 110 in college and 140ish after babies.

I have been curious about what people weigh because it is the first time in my life I’ve struggled with weight. I weighed about 115 when I was young, small boned, never exercised and ate everything. After having a child, I weighed about 125 in my forties. Just turned 50 and I weigh 140. I’d like to be 125. I’m 5’5. Not happy at this weight but I love food.

People are lying. Or, they are squeezing into clothes that make them look like sausages.

I'm 5'9 and 129 pounds. My goal weight is 125, though I look better at 120 (but I recognize that's not a healthy weight so I am not going to fight for it).

I am extremely small boned and was 110 in college, 115 in my 20's. Never had an eating disorder and ate whatever I wanted, never exercised. When I gain weight it doesn't distribute evenly - I gain it all in my stomach and face.

I started gaining weight in my mid 30's, and it's been a struggle keeping control of it. I wear a size 4. 40 years old.
