I don't think we know yet what or what didn't happen. This seems to be taken seriously enough by the Chicago police department. I honestly don't have any prediction how this turns out. And I am the OP of this thread.

It's true that the real victim is not Jussie Smollett, but rather the MAGA posters here who believe they are being unfairly maligned. BTW, Chicago police this afternoon said that they had found pictures of persons of interest. Just as you think the OP should not have jumped to conclusions, you may not want to jump to any either.

How about the real victims are the vast majority of Americans that want the press to accurately report the news without an agenda and with actual facts to support their stories? Wouldn't that be nice for a change?????

Exactly. If you want to speculate about it being a hoax I’m happy to speculate that it was a couple of sh1tbrain MAGA types. It’s really not that hard to imagine given how hate crimes are on the rise under Trump.

PP here. Sure I would. There's nothing illegal on it. Might get an attorney and make sure that they only looked at what was relevant. If I was brutally assaulted I would do everything in my power to make sure that those who tried to lynch me were brought to justice.
