I’m only 50% Ashkenazi. I also have Maltese, Japanese, and Norwegian ancestry. My husband is 3/4ths Ashkenazi and the rest is Irish and British.

So you all can shove your “religious nationalism” allegations.

I’m simply stating a genetic fact. Ashkenazi Jews are a recognized genetically distinct group. That’s all I’ve been saying.

Ok, to the extent that "races" matter when most people are a mix, just like you Insist all you want. The Jews dont want to be seen as a distinct race -- they're ahead of everyone else. Races don't exist!

I just want this part of my ethnic background acknowledged. The fact that you are all hating on it so much proves my point. You refuse to let me say this is part of my genetic background.

It doesn’t mean someone who isn’t Ashkenazi is less Jewish; it simply means there is a genetic ethnic group that is Jewish.

Why is that so hard for you all to accept? It’s people like you who made me feel I had to fight for this acknowledgement. You all want to claim this ethnicity is fake, or caring about it is indicative of a belief in some sort of racial purity. It’s really offensive.
