My child's name in on a KILL list

LOL. you sure know everything.

Look here. The school calls the boy's parents (just like some of us got called) the evening of the incident. i.e. the boy's parents are made aware of the allegations brought upon their son. What educated reasonable parent wouldn't make sure their gun (if there was one) was then secured. Knowing this, I am comfortable sending my kid to school the next day.

You are seriously leaping to conclusions there... My daughter could unlock our phones before she was 3. You don't think a 4th grader knows how to operate a lock?

So what do you expect the police to do? Confiscate the gun? Really?

You REALLY need to read some of those articles about families whose toddlers shot other kids. Most of them STILL keep their guns accessible, to "protect their families."

Look here? Are you being stern with us, OP?

I was the first APS parent to say I was calling our school's SRO. And I did, despite thinking you're a troll.

I hope this is all made up, because I'd hate to think you're a fellow parent at my child's school.

I'll tell you what I don't own a gun but if I did, and found out my child had a hit list and talked about bringing a gun to school, you can bet I would have a new safe with new codes that night. Not to mention a therapy apt for my child.

If this isn't a troll, this needs to be dealt with now before it escalates. A child having issues in 4th grade won't get better if they aren't helped. Doesn't matter who their parents are.

I agree. That is why I sent my kid to school the next day. Probably why the other kids were in school too. More than a handful of kids are involved. Maybe their parents called the police. Maybe not. Maybe they assessed the situation and decided to let the school handle it. I'm waiting just like them. But to me, the immediate threat is handled.

How can you possibly know what they parents are doing with things in their home? You are some kind of stupid...

I don't know but I can assume stuff. What do you want to do? Take away their gun? Lock the kid up?

Just because you've freaked out 11 pages of APS parents...do you know what the school did? Were police ever involved? You must know at this point.

After all this you have no idea whether your school informed the police? I don't buy it.

HAHAHAHAHA omg.... tell me you know what it means to make assumptions?

I would expect the police to make a home visit, and if the guns are not stored properly then yes, I would LOVE the police to take them away, but I realize that's not where we are right not as a society. However at least the police would have a record of there being an issue and can followup if needed.

Plus nothing scares parents into getting their child help than a few police officers.

I sent a message with link to this thread last night to an ACPD officer who works with the SROs and she wrote me back within the hour and confirmed they would look into it.

Which officer?

I would but....damm, that stupid thing always gets in the way.
