What does bringing dogs into Home Depot have to do with treating dogs or any other animals kindly? I don't want to be in the store with a dog, but would NEVER tolerate anyone treating an animal unkindly or inhumanely. |
Yes, many people, just "on principle", do not think animals belong in Home Depot. Some people DO have principles. It is a good thing that everybody doesn't just do what he/she wants with no thought of how it affects others. That is how we maintain a cohesive, civilized society. No, it has nothing to do with being "twisted up" about animals being "treated kindly." Taking an animal to Home Depot has nothing to do with treating the pet kindly: look up the definition of "straw man", which is the logical fallacy featured in most of your responses. No, it has nothing to do with religion. What a stupid thing to say. Again, look up "straw man" and try again. |
| I can't believe that this many businesses like Home Depot or restaurants don't have concerns regarding liability. Seems like such a risk unless these dogs are designated service animals. |
| Maaaaannnnn...... never thought this many people don't like dogs! Holy crap! I always thought I am the odd one. Man this feels good. |
+1 My daughter had a friend over to play and when the mom came to pick up, she actually brought her dog inside my house and let her run around. I was speechless, but just went with it, all the while seething inside. I didn't want to make things awkward for my daughter and her friend, but I was appalled that someone would be that clueless. Another mom brought her dog when she picked up her daughter, but this time let the dog run all over our yard, pooping in several places. She never bothered to clean it up before she finally left. It's unbelievable how rude some dog owners can be. |
| A point to ponder. Dog lovers don't think in terms of that their dog is an animal. This is where the whole deal is. They go to Home Depot with their dog just like you and me go their with our kids! So.... |
I don't believe the OP ever said she didn't like dogs. Only inconsiderate dog owners. Some of you are really spinning this into something it's not. |
I see dogs as food. |

It's interesting that it's perfectly acceptable for people to say that while they like children, they don't ever want to be parents. Or that they're happily "child free".
Yet mention that you like dogs but don't ever want to own one, and you're crucified by the dog lovers. Very peculiar. |

THIS, 1000x THIS. |
Thousands of dogs and other animals sucrify their lifes in the research labs every year. And their lifes and deaths are terrible. Hundreds of dogs die saving their family members and complete strangers, victims of earth quakes, looking for mines and for drugs. Shut up about sacrifice, would you? |

I think it's insanity to have a dog in the city and have to walk it 3-5 times a day and pick up its shit. You might as well have a damn kid.
Dogs are cool but actually having one? No thanks. |
Isn't it so sad that dog lovers are trying to argue that dogs are as intelligent as humans? WTF is this? Stone Age? |
|
Wow. Some of you have issues.
Dogs besides service dogs don't belong in a lot of places. Not all dog owners do this. |
