This is only partly the case. DC attended and definitely felt heavy pressure to participate in the drinking. Social outcast for those who don't.

Not saying this is totally inaccurate but parents need to take anything on Unigo with a grain of salt. It's a very self-selecting site and its "polls" aren't actually statistically valid or whatever. They're whatever a bunch of students who happen to like Unigo decided to click on that day. It's fine to look at it and get some general ideas but I wouldn't put huge weight on anything they do showing what looks like a survey.

Also a random thing but Kenyon has a lot of campus cats who love the students. My daughter is so happy about that because she misses her cat at school. She carries treats with her every day for her Kenyon cats.

Do you mind sharing your DD's gpa/test score? Know too much to ask for HS but if you can do "MoCo W" or "Big 3/4/5" would be appreciated.

DC interested, but am worried that overenrollment at many schools is going to have negative implications for HS Class of '22.

She went to a private school but we aren’t from DC. It’s a top academic so I think similar to big 3/5 from what I can tell. Her GPA was around a 3.8 and test scores were 1470 I believe. She also applied ED since she was a recruited athlete but she also got merit money. Hope that helps. She’s very happy at Kenyon and, as I said above, has many non athlete (NARP) friends.

My nephew was admitted from a well regarded MoCo high school with a 3.7 uw and 32 act. He even got some merit aid. No hooks but is a smart, well rounded kid.

Kenyon also is very open to having dogs around campus, from the HOS down to a student, from office, to classrooms to the dorms. Lots of Instagram accounts for the various pups traipsing through Middle Path!

Not the PP to whom youre responding, "JFC" poster above, but why so bitter? I know. That post about dogs isn't exactly on topic re: stats, "Big 3," overenrollment. I get that. But quality of life stuff like that does matter to many students. No need to be nasty to that PP.

My kid got in from Blair with a 3.9 unweighted, probably 4.6 or 4.7 weighted, 34 ACT, with $30,000 merit/year. She went somewhere else, but we really liked it when we visited.
