I just tried this and it's delicious. Very oily, though.

Did you mix it with pasta? How do you eat this.

Their salsa verde is the best store bought salsa verde I've ever had. Most others have a weird bitter taste, or too acidic or something. It makes super fabulous chicken enchiladas.

ALso, since no one has mentioned them -- their pies are really good and waaaay cheaper than what you pay at the farmer's market or one of the fancy pie stores. (My favorites are the blueberry and strawberry rhubarb.) I grew up eating homemade pie several times a week and ordinarily can't stand store-bought pies.

I'm from the West, and I will note that the produce is fresher out there. I never get the broccoli at TJ's out here, for instance. I've had some other things be bad as well -- like once I got fresh mozzarella that was rancid when I bought it. That's a rare problem, though. I suspect they do ship pretty much everything from the West coast. They also seem to have more problems than other stores with shipment disruptions when there are weather issues pretty much anywhere in the country. I deal with it because there are so many things I love there that I can't find anywhere else.

Oooh, tell us more. I dream of quitting my job and working here. I'm sure there are a fair share of annoyance with obnoxious customers, but I love TJs and the employees always seem so happy. Does he enjoy it? What's it really like?

+1!! I want an AMA about it!

Speaking of which, why can't Trader Joes make better parking lots?! They're always a disaster.

I grew up eating this dish with pita bread. I guess you can have it on pasta...
