5k, 2k on the wedding band. It is a big rock but I have a sapphire instead of a diamond.

I don't regret a penny, I wear it every day and actively enjoy it.

1800, sapphire with vintage platinum setting. We could certain afford more with our HHI but I am not big on flashy rings. I might change it to a brighter stone, one day, but I dont wear it all that often anyway.

Guess I'm in the minority here- engagement ring is worth about 25-30k it's about 2.5 carats and it is an extremely high quality diamond. I know because It was appraised when purchased for insurance purposes. I love it and it makes me happy looking at it everyday. It's beautiful and sparkles even when it's not clean. Most of my friends have at least a 2 carat diamond- and I don't hang around insanely wealthy people- just seems like the norm to me. I love jewelry though. I work with someone whose just got a 4 carat ring- now is that a bit much? well maybe, but I think it's beautiful.

I'm just like you, OP. Mine was 9K, and I wish I had splurged a bit more. I love jewelry, but my e ring and wedding ring are all that I wear other than simple earrings. Sometimes I think about upgrading, but I feel like the 9K would be wasted.

My DH lost his wedding ring while playing golf. Removed the ring, put into the pocket, the pocket had a hole and gone... His replacement ring, also lost at the same golf course. After this, we did not buy the replacement ring and we both now don't wear wedding ring at all. I haven't lost my engagement ring, though.
