To be fair, you could say the same thing about my family, with our mid six-figure HHI, voting for Obama. I prefer to beliebe the majority of the low-income Republican voters aren't evil, or even stupid - they honestly believe they are doing what is best for the country, just like I am, even if is isn;t exactly in their own interests.

I am well off and vote for Obama, but I would not say I am doing it for my country. It is self interest. My sense of well being is affected when people are lacking food and health care, and my bottom line will be affected when the gap grows wider.

God bless you for having common sense.

The son of an immigrant who workers as a laborer, a former U.S. Marine who served in WWII and Korea, went to school on the GI Bill, bought a house using a VA loan, a life long Republican and former ward captain for the party at the local level, a man who spent a good deal of his free time doing charity work.

Yep, he should get off his lazy 88 year old but and get back to work. Why should he be receiving social security and using tax exemptions.

God bless him. But the Republican elite clearly don't care if they insult regular, decent Americans as long as they think it will be politically advantageous in an election year.

As John Stewart points out, Romney's dad was on welfare. Paul Ryan was on welfare also. I guess Ryan will not be voting for Romney. Welfare buck that he is.
