No one believes that taxes will be lower under Obama. You can cite all the "research" and "sources" you want. No one believes that taxes will be lower under Obama. |
Um, can YOU cite any research or sources? Most people are extremely alarmed by the content of Ryan's plan because it contains tax hikes for 80%. It did become a moot point for awhile because the plan was dead, until he was selected for VP and Romney embraced it. ever since then, it has been all over the placeSooo, for the past 2 weeks, this has been a major story. How have you missed that? Try to keep up. Oh wait. You only watch FOX News, don't you? Yeah, I'm sure they aren't talking about it over there... |
Do you? if so, please enlighten us. been trying to get someone to explain it to me and they clam up. |
democrats the party of tax cuts? |
I don't have the time or interest to "watch news" FOX or otherwise. You're all worked up into a lather because you're missing or choosing to ignore my point: the numbers you cite are irrelevant: no one believes that their taxes will be lower under Obama. People base their vote on what they believe. And, unless there's been an amendment since the last time I read it, the constitution doesn't permit the president to levy tax. Look it up. |
http://taxfoundation.org/article/tax-equity-and-growth-nonpayers I can. Let's hope society's takers finally put some more skin in the game. This country is FUNDED more by the top 5% than the bottom 95% Get that through your thick head. |
Not missing your point. You've repeated it 3 times and can't really come up with anything else. You say that no one believes their taxes will be lower under Obama. Ok. got it. How do you know this? You've talked to everyone? Why do you think that Research, sources and numbers are irrelevant, but your comical assumption that "no one believes..." is relevant? True that most of us vote on what we believe, but our beliefs are based on the facts. Where did your tax levy comment come from? Did I miss something? |
Show of hands: Who thinks their taxes will be lower if Obama is re-elected? |
Here's how it's related: just because Ryan had an idea, and Romney "embraced it" as you say, it's not like the 2 of them have the power to increase taxes 80% or whatever wackadoodle number you claim. The don't have the constitutional power to do so and even if by some incredible extreme stretch of the imagination they actually proposed such a monstrosity, that tax increase would never pass Congress, the body with the authority to levy tax. Got that? |
Hello ello lo o o ? Anyone? |
You have no idea what this means, do you? this is about nonpayers. Do you know what a nonpayer is? A nonpayer is someone who, after taking advantage of all the legal tax credits and deductions, has zero tax liability. It shows an example of how a family with a $45,000* income can come up with zero tax liability. It also states where each of these credits and deductions came from. Many of them came from republicans. So, yep, because of these credits, at least half of those with HHI less than $40,000 will be nonpayers. But it's all legal, and the majority was a result of republican policy. Huge jump in nonpayers during the Bush years. How does this provide evidence that taxes would be lower under Romney than Obama? *Before you assume that someone with a lowly HHI of $45,000 is just a step above welfare, please be aware that this is a very respectable income in many parts of the country. If you make $150,000 in DC, someone with the same job in other areas might make $40,000 and live at the same comfort level that you do. |
My word. You can't read, can you? I did not say they were raising taxes by 80%. I said they would raise taxes on 80% of Americans. |
Why would anyone bother with this? We are all anonymous on here. You would just accuse me of posting "I do!" over and over again. |
I believe the ryan plan will raise my tax bill. |
That proves my point: it doesn't matter what the ryan plan says (80% or 80% of Americans or free ice cream for everyone). It will never ever become law. Taxes will not be less under Obama. |
