I agree with you on all the random holidays and work days but I can't stand listening to people rant when the weather is bad. This is out of FCPS control and I for one would rather my kids be home safe.

You're failing to comprehend that no one would be ranting if the rest of the Calendar was at all fair and in the best interest of students. But it's not-it caters to politicians.

I think you have a comprehension issue. You people whine about this issue only when the weather is bad. Have an issue go yell at the board meetings-tomorrow has the potential to be dangerous. FCPS really should be closing for everyones safety.

Elementary schools use up 4 of those days on early release Wednesdays, so they start at 9 days and 4 hours.

Then we add in the special elections and they’re down to 7 days and 4 hours.

Full snow day closures ate up 4 days and 4 hours. So that’s 3 days left.

Then delayed openings, there were… 6? Which is the equivalent of 2 days. Leaving 1 day left.

With the 3 hour early release do elementary schools only have 3 hours left? Are they going to finish the school year at 993 hours, assuming no other closures?

Tomorrow could be declared a state of emergency then it doesnt count. I've seen that happen many times in VA.

SACC still hasn’t released their plan for tomorrow. Some elementary schools will release as early as noon.
