Because you can get luxury resorts for much less than other places.

I go because the food, history, art, and architecture are amazing and unique. Nothing to do with luxury resorts.

DP

It's obvious here there are people who have been to Mexico, and people who have been to All-Inclusive resorts surrounded by Mexico.

Love Todos Santos, but would not go now.

Why? Do ex-hippies and van-life British Canadians pose a threat?

No wait wait... it's yuppie ex-pat real estate agents representing gringos in gringo-land trying to sell you gringo property?

+1

Mexico is a world class destination. I’ve travelled extensively and far prefer it to most Western European and SE Asian countries.

I just left Cancun - it was completely fine.

Old white people “humor” 😵‍💫

You're just a stick in the mud.

Your lame old relatives aren’t funny, deal with it

They just have thugs pulling up on jet skis and shooting people on the beach.

Not in the state of Quintana Roo, which is where Cancun/Tulum/Playa Del Carmen are.

Why would they refund? The hotel is open and accepts clients. Next time book rate that allows changes or cancellations.

DP. It’s common for luxury properties during the high season to disallow cancellations a week or two out, regardless of rate type.

It only says one night penalty. BFD. If she can afford mayakoba one night is not that much to then.

This they don't only service Americans. If you weren't American, the current situation would have no impact on your trip. You are choosing to go Mexico you knew the risks before you booked, resort area or not there are inherent risks when traveling there.
