When will Fairfax County residents learn that Descano is bad news?

Two things can be true. You can have a drop in violent crime and you can have a prosecutor who makes terrible decisions.

It is also possible that violent crime is not being charged and prosecuted. That makes stats look better.

Remember, we are only seeing the most extreme cases in the news. How many are unreported?

There have already been reports that charges are dropped or reduced for some of the suspects because witnesses didn't want to testify. None of this means anything. All the details are so high level. This isn't a good-faith investigation.

As a separate but related matter, ICE can call up and find out when people are getting released. They aren't barred from any jails in Fairfax County. This isn't an insurmountable problem. If they have to wait a few hours on release day, so be it.

1. ICE has to be told the person is in custody and being released..
2. The sheriff has said she will release anyone to ICE who has a "judicial warrant." That requires time and red tape that should not be necessary. If an undocumented alien has committed a crime, they should be turned over. Period.

See Jason Miyares testimony yesterday. The Sheriff and Descano are playing bullsh%$ games with the warrant nonsense and they know it. Descano and Kincaid need to resign.

Wow we needed a whole hearing for that gem? I can't believe how easy it is to entertain MAGA sheep.

Teenage troll home from school today, huh? Did you watch The Price is Right?

I have personally seen lifelong FFX county democrats leave the area and within months abandon all of the crazy political views they held while they lived here.

There's an argument to be made for separating public safety and federal immigration enforcement. Sure, some people on the left are just lenient, just like some people on the right are aggressive. But the fact remains ICE can come get any of these people outside the facilities in they do some legwork. Come on now, Dean Cain didn't sign up to escort people from the dreary corners of the jailhouse. These people like playing cowboy.

Yes. But the Dems throw fits and interfere with ICE when they do it outside of the jails.

Yes, because this is an emotional issue for a lot of people. And people think different things. Welcome to life. Who cares if some protesters are in the parking lot?

Are you thinking of a particular jailhouse parking lot protest? The only protesters I have seen actually interfering are for the raids on apartment buildings. I don't think people are too concerned about a violent criminal getting picked up. But share what incident you are thinking of.

One example--a short term holding facilty in Minnesota:

That's a federal building. Where are people protesting outside state or local jails to prevent convicted violent criminals from being picked up by ICE?

You know where you don't need a judicial warrant? In the parking lot of the jail or courthouse. Mere steps from the facility.

And, these arrests are far more dangerous to the agents involved, the illegal alien, and the community as a whole.
The agents have no way to be sure that the migrant is not armed.
It takes far more agents to make an arrest outside the courthouse than taking him/her into custody IN the courthouse.

As an example, here is video of an arrest outside a courthouse in Massachusetts.
It takes 5 agents to subdue this guy. And, these arrests attract a crowd that is dangerous for everyone involved.

I don't see any crowds or protestors in this video. Looks like they got him.

The conversation is around protestors interfering with ICE's ability to take people into custody outside a state or local jail. This article is about protests outside a federal detention facility. What connection are you trying to make?

Shut up and pay your property taxes.

Virginia is for foreign criminals.

Here is a fresh one let go:

Ronnie Reel, who Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney Steve Descano’s office let walk free on a plea deal after confessing to sexually abusing an 11-year-old boy, is now charged with abducting a minor.
Last week, it was reported how a 17-year-old girl was missing and was last seen with Reel, a convicted felon. On Friday, Prince William County police found the girl and Reel.

How is Steve Descano still in office?! He's allowing sexually abusive men free to abuse more children?
