Everything they do increases crime. Lesser sentencing, dropping charges, no cooperating with ICE to get criminal illegals deported.

Law enforcement is fed up with his focus on promoting law evasion instead of law enforcement. Attempting to nullify laws he doesn't like is a legislative prerogative, not one for a so-called prosecutor.

This is the problem. It's a failure to recognize that labels like Democrat or Republican can obscure policy goals which can range from moderate/centrist to lunatic. Voting blindly by party without fully understanding a candidate's policy ambitions is how you end up with fringe platform politicians like these instead of a truly representative government. For far too many, the idea of voting for someone affiliated with a different party evokes a knee-jerk reaction which can be counterproductive. Get past the label and dig into what candidates actually plan to do.

It's not just the failure to prosecute, but the failure of County policy which has the Sheriff's office refusing to cooperate with immigration authorities except under very limited circumstances. The Sherriff could hold illegals she knows would be taken into custody by ICE, but she won't do so under most circumstances unless the County is also prosecuting them. In this case, even though Descano refused to act, the Sheriff could have held the illegal for ICE but elected not to and released him. She shares culpability along with the Board of Supervisors and their liberal policy positions which set the tone for County government.

Fairfax policies are ridiculous. This guy was involved in multiple crimes, including apparently being involved in another murder but not necessarily the killer, so obviously this guy is a bad dude. Why not hold him for ICE? Just asinine and putting Fairfax residents in danger.

What is the sick motivation behind such stupid policies? Sticking it to Trump is getting people killed.
