I don't think any of us should criticize Nicole for wanting to be the most famous actress she can be. Yes there is a family cost. Men do that all the time.

I think the point is that someone needs to prioritize the children. As someone who has birthed children I cannot imagine being away from them that much and I know from family members that both parents prioritizing themselves is never good for kids.

Which brings up a good question who was taking care of the kids back in Nashville when both were out the country on tour/filming?

Keith only tours every 2-3 years. He's the primary parent, not Nicole.

I would assume that too, based on their respective schedules. But the custody agreement has Nicole as the primary:

TMZ: "The parenting plan says the kids will spend 306 days with Nicole and 59 days with Keith. They agreed that all major decisions involving their kids, including education and health care, will be made jointly."

That's what happens when you're on set back to back for years. I don't say that to be mean either. Nicole has every right to prefer acting but it came at the cost of her marriage. You can only be so supportive of a partner before choosing your own needs. He's gross for cheating and making her file.

More updates. Kind of odd but they already had a agreed upon Dissolution Agreement. Keith signed August 29th and Nicole did on september 6th. The kids stay with Nicole for 306 days and Keith 55 days while she remains the primary residential parent. Sorry tbis doesn't sound like an abrupt thing from her side. It sounds more she holding on and gave him one final chance before filing

I forgot Reese has the TN connection too. Both has a lot of clout, could work out well. Nicole only has 3 years before she has an empty nest. It's good she'll have this time with the girls.

I agree it's weird. Teenage girls can be very tough. Maybe he's had a tough time with them lately, they wanted more time with their mom, and he agreed to that. Still think it's weird though, especially when he has clearly been the more present parent for a while.
