BC vs Miami vs Wake

You have to be a cretin to think the education at BC is better than an Ivy or a good NESCAC (or really any nescac, come to think of it).

Emory was also out of reach if these were your options.

Correct. Much better than BC

Could the Emory kids hack it at UGA or GT?

Yes. Easily. Some full pays want to be around other full pays.

Why? Can’t hack it at a flagship?

Because being around kids who can only afford in state tuition is gross. Marry up

LOL what a moronic post. Most top flagships attract wealthy students that are richer AND smarter than you.

Oh please. Let the plebe be the plebe at state schools…

Sorry you didn’t get in and had to settle

Hahahaha…not the PP, but these State moms crack me up.

Do you realize top flagships are harder than theirs tier privates?

Emory is not in the same tier as UGA and GT though. Statistically, you are highly unlikely to get into Emory and not the other two. Look, math and reading aren't your thing, and that is why your dear child is at a state school that isn't Berkeley or UVA. You can seethe all you want, but the tuition is a rounding error for many students at private universities and they like to be around similar people. Keep relentlessly tracking your 529 each year and hoping dear Suzy doesn't get into Miami so she can go to FSU or something.

Looks like I struck a nerve lol try to stay a little more composed next time.

Threads like these really bring out the best in people. So happy for the kind, supportive community this site has built.

If #37 & #41 are “not even close to top 30” then sure. BC and BU never claimed to be anything else. These 2 schools are great in their own ways and seem to stay in their lanes. For some reason that triggers pps who insist on starting a fake “prestige” war. BC & BU don’t care about your made up definitions and snobbery. But don’t disrespect their city or hockey.

By arithmetic they are somewhat close. The HS experience of achievement to get into a T30 v. getting into BC and BU is enormously different. One entails natural intelligence, sacrifice, hard work, and involvement. The other involves mouth breathing and spelling your name out.

BC isn't even in the city.

Quite a walk back. When you have nothing to say you resort to juvenile banter and utter nonsense. You’re so obvious. But why are you still hanging around when you promised you’d leave?

Do you think the posters are actually terrible people and hide it in real life or does this site truly make people scumbags?

Nope. You’re poor and desperate to save a mere 200k.

What’s the walk back? Many posters have consistently said BC is a turd of a school

There are a couple distinctive posters that pop up anytime a handful of schools are mentioned. Those handful are sad individuals.

Yes like that mother who keeps saying state flagships are better to than privates. Harvard>UMass. Dartmouth>UNH. Brown>URI. Etc etc. There is almost no desirable state where the flagship is better than the privates, unless you want to live in the Dakotas.

Thinking BC looks tolerable means you belong there. Total inability to conduct deductive reasoning

BC is a step above the other two schools.

In terms of being more Catholic, yes. In terms of academics, athletics, Greek and social life, then no.
