Why is the US so handcuffed to Israel's preferences?

Right now the guy who would slide in is even more radical and anti western than the current bad regime.

Another rebel group?!

Not even the secular educated Iranians in Iran. Nor other mideastern Muslim countries. Or Europe. Or Africa. Or USA.

So everyone is going to keep playing dumb and let Israel take care of it.

The Iranians do not have nuclear weapons, have not been moving forward with development, do not have fissionable material and are willing to negotiate. Israel attacked and failed to do anything but hit civilians targets. Now we are forced to attack Iran because they are not developing nuclear weapons?

This is just Israeli hatred of Iran and manipulating the US.

Oil.
This is for oil.
Again.
There were no WMD in Iraq if you recall.

May there be peace in our home planet.
Peace not weapons.
Peace not weapons

Why is this always the case and it there any hope of breaking the cycle in the future?

Israel is pretty good at setting the table so that our best move is doing something that Israel wants.

I would not say that. Israel knows no matter what they do the US will rescue them. That is the formula. Israel really needs to be put in their place. They suffer from Victory disease. Israelis actually think they are superior to everyone including the US. When in fact they are just a little fish living off the shark’s scraps.

Israel has become the mother lode of a Jewish Mother Guilting the US into paying for all sins committed against Jews beginning with Jehovah making Jews His chosen people.

It is way past time for Israelis to be wholly responsible for Israel and stop being a US protectorate. The cabal of American Jewish Billionaires can support Israel with the $$$$$$$$$$ trump has given them in tax breaks!

Can they pay us back the 300 billion dollars in aid we give them too? Maybe it's time they give us some aid since they have free healthcare and we don't.

I'm sure they're just waiting for the Palestinians to repay all the aid they received and used to build terror infrastructure instead of to build a civilized society.

Yes the Palestinians would love to be Israel.

Likely very true, given the results they have seen from the way they used the foreign aid they received. Choices have consequences, and it seems probable that many Gazans now regret their choices.

Yup, that's why you support the genocide against them.

What genocide? All I see is Israel defending itself against a genocide, which they prevent from happening to themselves. Aggressors are not innocent victims when they are beatenn back, they are merely losers in a fight they started themselves.

Are you saying that if Israel stops bombing, that Hamas will kill 50k Jews in a genocide? I’m not sure how that would happen? They’re terrorists who seemed to have more “success” in their 10/7 terrorization than they hoped or expected. Have they been successful since then? Can you please explain how Hamas (not Palestinians) would effectively wage a genocide against the Jews if they stopped the bombing and the remaining hostages were returned?

Ask that question against when the hostages have in fact been returned. Until then....

Oh yes. Even though the far-right cabinet told Netanyahu they would expel him if he made a deal involving hostages. Reported in WSJ. The hostages have said they feared dying in the strikes.

You can get from the West Bank to Gaza in 15-45 mins by helicopter. Israel’s a very tiny country. There’s no reason the military couldn’t have stopped it unless they were specifically given top orders not to

They were given orders to relocate from Gaza to the West Bank, because Netanyahu is an idiot and thought he had neutralized Hamas and wanted to support his immoral project to back up illegal settlements in the West Bank. No one wanted October 7 to happen, they just utterly failed to prevent it because they are grotesquely incompetent idiots.

The evidence doesn't support your arguments. Intelligence much more suggest that threats from Hamas were intentionally ignored or silenced from those in Israeli intelligence and people out in the field near the border wall. Having just now seen how bloodthirsty Netanyahu is, you should not be surprised at what he is willing to do in order to achieve the greater goals for Israel.

Yes, it was ignored because it posed a conflict with orders to shift resources to the West Bank and because the authorities put too much faith in the wall and the technology along the Gaza border. How could Netanyahu have assumed everything after a Hamas attack would go as well for Israel militarily as it has? The military was terrified of a ground war in Gaza becoming a quagmire. Hezbollah appeared much, much more resilient than they turned out to be. Syria was actively hostile to Israel. What would the strategic purpose of allowing hundreds of Israelis to be murdered be if you didn’t have the benefit of knowing everything that followed, exactly? Why must Netanyahu be an evil genius instead of an evil moron?

50% all billionaires in the US are Jewish despite being 2% of the population. Shouldn’t be a surprise they have so much influence on our government.

Where did you get that number? I googled it and got this: "Around 20-30% of U.S. billionaires are Jewish, not 50%, based on Forbes data and other analyses, while Jews make up about 2% of the U.S. population." And regardless of the actual number, so what?

Look at how many of the neocons and PNAC guys were Zionists circa Bush Jr and one can understand how our foreign policy was shaped.

Wrong. Oil is secondary thing.
Primary causes for war are Netanyahu and the MIC (which is a given for any war)

Why do you care?

Seriously, how does the U.S. foreign policy toward Israel affect you personally?
