Why is the US so handcuffed to Israel's preferences?

No one wants Iran to have nukes.

Not even the secular educated Iranians in Iran. Nor other mideastern Muslim countries. Or Europe. Or Africa. Or USA.

So everyone is going to keep playing dumb and let Israel take care of it.

Can we explore why Iran has the leadership it has? Did we (the U.S.) do anything that lead to this? Hmm …

Can we explore why countries like Iran are actually hostile to the U.S.? Hmm …

No. Of course not. Of course we can’t.

Of course we can’t have honest conversations based on the historical record and the facts - because we’ve allowed the relentless parasite of Zionism (and its anti-semitism cudgel) to infect our sociopolitical construct.

Pointing an obvious finger at Zionism, whose alien policies and actions in the Middle East have cultivated enmity across the region, is forbidden. Facing facts head-on is also forbidden.

Instead, alternate facts are manufactured by Hasbara and regurgitated by our corrupted political class who long ago traded away their own integrity and America’s interests for a fistful of AIPAC shekels. The ROI on those shekels has been at least 60x over the past 75 years, so our political class also wears a shameful badge of ignominy for failing to understand even the basics of economic return.

Zionist propaganda reigns supreme. It’s gross. But maybe it will fade away one day. We can hope.

Look who’s back. Yuck.

PP gives a detailed, well-thought out explanation and all you can say is “yuck”? How old are you?

Iran doesn’t have nukes. But you know who does? Israel. The hypocrisy of the West is astounding.

Israel lives in a neighborhood that they created. Israel does not negotiate, does not seek peace, does not abide by signed treaties, etc. Israel’s goal is to keep all neighboring states as failed states and spread pain, misery and death.

This. Thread after thread of antisemitic venom.

Jeff, can you block this poster seeking to obstruct constitutional rights in this country?

No one is obstructing your constitutional rights unless the government is blocking you from saying things on here. You don’t have a constitutional right to post whatever you want on someone else’s website.

Israel (and their Western backers) created the “dangerous neighborhood” as you call it. Prior to the creation of Israel, there were thousands of Jews living peacefully in the Middle East and North Africa. When Jews were being persecuted in Europe, they were living side-by-side with their Arab Muslim and Christian neighbors in the MENA.

Yes this explains why they’ve had a peace agreement with Egypt and Jordan for years.

This is fascinating and I really wish I knew more, but is it religion or is it money? Or both? Why is the US entangled this way?

No, U.S. foreign aid to Egypt and Jordan explains why - it’s called bribery to tolerate a shitty neighbor.

We're definitely getting wrapped up in this on Israel's terms, not ours.

Only because the USA is buying Egypt and Jordan off. It’s called extortion. Dollars for non-conflict.

Iran has been chanting Death to America for decades. Why are you talking about Israel?

Why is OP “not OK” for asking questions that billions of people around the globe are also wondering?

"Billions" are not wondering at all. One crackpot Palestinian just keeps posting antisemitic thread after thread, all couched in hysterical terms and all rabidly anti-Israel. She has nothing useful to say, merely abusive statement "supported" by ridiculous and unbelievable pro-Palestinian news/propaganda sources. When she gets beat down sufficiently as a thread winds down, she finds a new thread title with which to kick off another round of idiocy.
