Why is the US so handcuffed to Israel's preferences?

Yes, the cycle will be broken.

How? I don't see any mechanism unless the whole system of lobbying is completely overhauled which will never happen

Foreign state lobbying won’t last forever. Neither will tolerance for elected representatives blatantly serving the interests of foreign nations.

DP

Why is OP “not OK” for asking questions that billions of people around the globe are also wondering?

Wish I was as optimistic as you but the biggest and most powerful lobbies, the Zionists and the Military Industrial Complex share the same vision so it will be very hard to overcome.

I wonder the same thing.

I’m afraid it will only stop when our country collapses and is no longer able to bankroll Israel’s every desire.

Just imagine how insidious a group has to be in corrupting America’s political leaders across the board that a member of Congress like Ted Cruz isn’t immediately hunted down by his colleagues and dealt with for saying what he said in the recent Tucker Carlson interview.

Imagine someone freely admitting that their singular goal when elected to Congress was to do everything possible to support a foreign nation. China. Germany. Argentina. Eritrea.

Just absolute insanity, and it’s on the record.

Iran is a problem. Hamas is a problem. In fact, there are lots of problems out there in the world. But none is more of a problem deserving of our immediate attention than Israel and the radical, extremist Zionists who support Israel’s policies and actions. Full stop.

Totally agree. When you have a country that's willing to slaughter hundreds of thousands of civilians, then there is no limit to how far they are willing to go. If put into a corner, there is no doubt that they could once again threaten the use of their nuclear weapons.

I support the idea of Israel and understand they live in a dangerous neighborhood. But yes, I agree, with all of the billions we give them every year and the enmity our unwavering support has caused, they should be at our beck and call.

Answering this question has historically been one of the most thankless and dangerous tasks on the internet. It ranges from taboo to flat out illegal to answer depending on where you post from. Most people don’t even want to know what’s going on.

Jeff, can you block this poster seeking to obstruct constitutional rights in this country?

I think it started about the time the Islamic world began calling America “The great Satan”.

Was this before or after America and the UK overthrew democratic elected governments that did not bend to their demands?
