Neither parent is a citizen Mom had custody. Unclear if parents are married. |
Exactly. Allegedly, mother and daughters were held in a detention center. How long? How were they approached by ICE? Wearing face masks in the middle of the night and taking them with nothing but the clothes on their back? Was the mother given a grace period to prepare for deportation? What kind of shelter and provisions did they provide? How many children have to be traumatized? A young middle schooler committed suicide not long ago. They’re going after the low hanging fruit. Where’s the list of illegal hardened criminals? Ya know the rapists, murderers, drug cartels, “people from mental institutions and “asylums.” Trump his cabinet, and 3 of his kids are lying criminals. Every.single.one! |
No. The U.S. do not get to “take” the babies as a windfall. All the wannabe moms in DC and NY would love that - but it’s not right. Adoptions take years in the US The baby should not be handed over to the other parent either automatically. For reference, when parents can not agree, in US, state county courts take over a year to determine custody. That is for US citizens who can not agree where the child should live; AND when they can not agree how much that child costs (cost payments are is usually a calculation set forth by each state legislature). |
They should not go automatically into a US child center. Other countries have done this. Who read the recent expose’ on South Korea orphanages and the coercion there? |
History of US taking kids and other counties cooperating with that:

The rural baby to urban orphanage pipeline e is very much alive and real in various parts of Africa. The incentives are to send them to orphanages. Read legitimate sources on line!
Most of these women who come to the US are rural and have fourth to fifth grade education (standard level in those parts of Central America). |
Goes to show that Trump doesn't give a shit about family values. He is tearing families apart. |
I agree with you that Trump doesn’t give a shit about family values, but can you explain what your proposed solution to this very common immigration issue (undocumented foreign nationals parent/s with an American citizen child) is? That such parents shouldn’t be subject to deportation on the basis that they have an American child? I don’t think that’s a reasonable or good policy solution. |
The mother was being deported. She knew when she came here that was a possibility. Would you leave your child behind? The child can return.
It appears mom was not married to the dad. In Louisiana that would give her full custody. Reports say that Dad is also here illegally. So, you want the child to stay with dad until he gets deported? |
Do we know which that the child was actually born in. This fact that they live in Louisiana may not automatically give sole custody to the mother if the child was born in another state with different custody laws. |
Huh? ICE kept mother and daughter together. You make no sense. |
The Supreme Court Birthright Citizenship Case Isn't Really About Birthright Citizenship
