I’m sick of hearing Senate Democrats trying to save Chuckles, with statements like

“Virginia Sen. Mark Warner, when asked about Schumer’s leadership, told reporters, “I understand … these are tough, tough calls. We’re stuck with two bad choices presented by a unified Republican front.”

Umm we all know and understand it’s two bad choices are we’re telling you which bad choice to select. Vote NO and if a shutdown occurs then so be it. Heck ya’ll should already have plans underway for next steps if a shutdown occurs.

I’m very angry with Schumer. But this was a very abrupt turnaround so I can only guess new information accounts for it. I hope his assessment is correct.

I don’t really understand. But people are saying that the federal courts would/might also be shut down? If that is accurate, there would be no mechanism to stop Trump and Musk. But the judiciary is a different branch of course.

Optimally, we could just not fund the White House and shut it down. Send Trump to MAL indefinitely and strap Musk to one of his rockets.

Why can't you al be smart and allow Trump to destroy himself by keeping govt open?

If you shut down, effectively, POTUS has all power until negotiated open. In this case, Trump does not care so it's going to be forever before govt open and at that, it could look however Trump wants to look.

It's not just what people think about negotiating and Dems sticking it to GOO or fighting for the people. You shut down, you are done!

Keep it open and let Trump mess things up. That's the smart play.
