While that in theory would be a great way to let them "get what they voted for," there are real consequences about to be realized. People are needlessly losing jobs and this area is about to have it's economy decimated if Trump and Musk lose all guardrails.

If the government shut down, then all of the Continuity of Government entitlements would disappear. Absolutely no politician wants that. The government will never shut down. Putin has provided Russians with bunkers. Except for the COG fraternity/sorority, we peon Americans don't even have foxholes.

This was all true yesterday when Schumer announced that the Dems would not support the CR. It makes me sick to think about it but something happened in the ensuing 24 hours. This is very bad.

Chris Murphy of Connecticut has been articulate on what Democrats need to do to counter Trump. And at age 50-he’s an entirely different generation from Schumer and Trump

My kids don't deserve a mealy mouthed Democratic party leadership willing to sell them out. They deserve better. If you have no problem with Schumer's surrender, I can tell you don't have kids in DC schools.
