Here's how to report your neighbor for not clearing their sidewalk

Unfortunately Fairfax and Prince William counties don't have enforcement, to my knowledge.

Op, please use this storm as an opportunity to self reflect and show some kindness. You have no idea what each homeowners' situation is. Your post is mean-spirited.

Oh look the Covid Karens are back once again to enforce their will.

This is heart attack snow. I'd rather all my neighbors stay in good health than see sidewalks!

So nope. I will not report a single neighbor. I shoveled my own sidewalk with great difficulty, so I know what work it is. I am sure there are plenty of folks who can't make that physical effort.

I encourage everyone to be understanding.

My city has an app you can report things. I've reported noise complaints and unshoveled walks - well, walk, it's one house on a corner with the community mail boxes and gets coated in 5" thick ice.

Part of being a home owner is taking responsibility and being a neighbor.

Sounds like city living is not for you. You should move back to Indiana.

Nah, I love city living. Most of my neighbors are absolutely wonderful. Reporting the few bad eggs is NBD.

I can guarantee that the various municipalities are entirely ignoring all the neighbor-against-neighbor snow complaints right now. They have their own snow removal problems to deal with.

Complain, by all means - the people in those offices think you're all massive jerks and are laughing at you.

- plowed my sidewalk, but understand that others could not.

When OP is old and decrepit and can't shovel, I really hope they have neighbors as nasty as them, who report all the lack of shoveling to the city.

Yep this. I’m a single mom with an elementary aged child and I’ve been sick since the weekend. Was able to get some help today but haven’t been able to physically shovel. The people who tattle on their neighbors are the worst. Put your snow boots on and keep walking.

Also the amount of these types of posts I’ve seen on Facebook vs people even offering paid shoveling is really disappointing.

Fill out as many reports you like. I doubt anyone will even read them.
