Personally, I am eagerly awaiting the day we have to wait 48 hours prior to posting. May it come sooner rather than later.

Gregg Abbott, gov. If Texas, sent a message of condolence to Rosalynn Carter!

Shoot. I wish they hadn't invited him. Nobody wants him there

+100. Can you imagine the level of moderation that would be required in that thread?

It's been 48 hours. There is literally nothing else to talk about.

That actually is a sad statement about Carter. A large percentage of the posts on this thread are actually about Trump. There is not really anything to say about Carter.

There’s plenty to say because Carter’s death throws Trump into the spotlight so strongly. due to the vast difference between them as people. It’s an epic moment in US history, particularly given the timing. It’s a powerful indicator of the collapse of things in general.

It flew right over your head…. The poster was saying, in a roundabout way, she/he can’t wait for DT to die. Once that happens, DCUM will have to wait 48 hrs before saying anything bad or critical of him, per site policy.

A lot of it was said when he entered hospice care years ago in this thread https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/1114027.page

Also, holy crap how does no one in Greg Abbott’s office know that Mrs. Carter died years ago? Jesus.

Many people have been helped through Carter's efforts with Habitat for Humanity. He seemed like a genuinely good guy.

Many more people were helped - both here and abroad through global ripple effects - by the Trump economy from 2017-2020.

When you realize that, you will then begin to understand why Trump won in November. Despite the personal differences between he and Carter.

I am watching President Carter's arrival ceremony at the Carter Presidential Center on C-SPAN (previously recorded) and when the choir sang The Navy hymn, I cried. I hope we see his like again in politicians.

I wonder Carter could stand the changes in Evangelicals in the South. They’ve always been racist but for them to vote for someone with no religion, three times married while cheating on all of them, convicted by a jury of his peers for lying to coverup a payout to a porn star, a man forced to shut down a charity foundation because he used it as his own piggy bank, a man who spews hate all day and is generally not a good person.

He goes against everything they are taught at their church. Or maybe their churches have changed. Jimmy was one of the last of good men serving the country.

This is delusional, sorry.
