He was finding his way and the majority of the school was doing great under him. I believe test scores were way up, most of the students were happy. I don’t know what went wrong, but ppl should have some tough questions for the assistant superintendent meeting tonight. Back to square one.

We don't know what was going on behind the scenes.

This is precisely why parents need to come in with tough questions for the meeting tonight. I definitely will.

They are only doing the questions submitted earlier this week which were due by Tuesday at 8 pm. No live questions.

That goes against the very definition of a townhall. The email said he would provide written answers to the submitted questions which indicates to most parents that other questions can be asked. Otherwise send the responses out on an email and don’t waste our time.

Was it actually described as a town hall?

Not to mention, those questions were submitted before the resignation was announced. They will need to pivot to address community concerns and parents will be demanding answers.

They sent out an agenda.

I’m sure they had the resignation well into the works already and knew about it before the parents. My guess is that’s why they scheduled this town hall. They made the principal resign one day before the town hall.

Well then FCPS is being disingenuous. They framed this meeting as something completely different than the school being without a principal yet again.

To be fair, the email says Dr. Tyson will address consolidated questions from five key recurring themes including leadership and future direction; and staff turnover, retention, and recruitment.
