I like her well enough, but let’s not pretend she’s working a full time job, parenting, food shopping, cooking for her kids, and still finding the time to cook healthy things for herself and take time out our her busy life and desk job to exercise. I seriously doubt she even styles her own hair. She carries a very small mental load and even less of a domestic one.

Many other royals and extremely wealthy individuals have the same lifestyle and they don’t look as regal as Kate.

I like Kate. I think she’s very pretty and I love her fashion sense, but to me she looks decidedly middle class, not regal in the slightest. In fact, I think that’s why I like her.

While she had the equivalent of an UMC childhood, she’s made the full transition to royalty. This is how it’s done! She looks every bit of royal to me.

Umc? Her parents have hundreds of millions of dollars

Her parents are broke.

Why would it matter? They did what good parents supposed to do. They provided a stable family and a good upbringing. She still gets along with her family and they spend time with her children.

Agree it doesn’t matter. What I heard anyway is the buyer of the business is aware of the debts, etc. It was part of the deal.

People are pushing scandal where there is none.

DP. I think it matters because a lot of the individuals Party pieces left holding the bag are small business owners who Carole personally called and asked to extend credit which they did in part because of their affiliation with the BRF.

She is nonthreatening, generally working for the good of her country, by all accounts and appearances a loving mom and she is doing her job better than any other woman who has married into the BRF in decades. William chose well. It will be fun to see them as queen and king.

Totally agree. There is zero reason to hate her. Those who do are showing their deep insecurities (and major jealousy).

I think people like you actually make people hate her. Every comment it’s like “omg it’s your deep insecurity because she is AHMAZING”

You can't refute it though, can you? You hate her for *absolutely* no reason. None.

I don’t hate her though. She’s just sort of there. She actually kind of reminds me of a British Sofia Richie. But that’s your weirdo assumption that if people don’t think that she’s wonderful then they hate her. I’d imagine most people in the world neither hate nor love her. But I guess they’re all just jealous and hating for no reason.

Doing her job better than any other woman who married in? What is that based on? She doesn’t really compare to Sophie.

I also don’t hate her. I think the British is ridiculously anachronistic and at some point people are going to demand the costs be downsized so they at least function more like the European monarchies.

I also think she is just uninteresting and I don’t get all these attempts to make her interesting (I get why the BRF want people to be invested in her but I just don’t see it working, but ymmv)

I think the King is likely just happy that she's a willing participant and isn't making waves with stupid comments to the media about racisim or "The Firm" or whatever they call themselves.

+1 She understands the job and does it well.

+2

+3. She is a woman who KNOWS HER PLACE. She submits to her husband, to the crown, to the firm.

This is what she wants and is content with her choice and deserving of the enormous enormous responsibility on her shoulders. She is my role model.

+1 She made the choice to take on this responsibility in exchange for marrying William and achieving a level of wealth and status that very few people in the world will ever have. Also she's choosing to "comply" not "submit" - just like we all have to do at our jobs.

100% she is wearing hose... just super sheer ones.

You can see every single mole and wrinkle on her thick legs. That woman is not wearing any pantyhose with that ugly outdated outfit.

Her outfit would have been fine in 1942 but for 2023 I expect her to do much better.

Unless your personal style is ultra conservative professional business attire, she's never going to please you. Her clothes are appropriate for her rank and role.

I can't think of any two people who have less in common. Why would you compare Kate to Sofia? The kind of people who know and care who Sofia Richie are can't possibly be interested in Kate Middleton.

You might think that, but I don't think British people think that. The monarchy is central to the British identity in a way that many others, especially Americans, don't understand.

This^. She isn't a fashion model or Hollywood celebrity. We don't know how she dresses at home or for friend and family's gatherings. When in public/camera eye, she dresses for the job she has. She must've learned in her teens while dating him that you make one mistake and media would rip you apart.

Americans obsessed with the BRF are whack jobs.

A significant number of Americans have British roots or colonial ties. Also a big number has been there for tourism, jobs or study.

This^. Nobody is forcing her. Millions want her life, husband, job and wealth.
