Irregardless instead of irrespective. Me or myself. The list goes on.

"Irregardless' is not a word. This is an incredibly common mistake and one of the most annoying for me.

It's just 'regardless'.

In the recent movie Shutter Island, Leonardo DiCaprio's character constantly says: "can I ax you a question?" At first I thought it was just his very lame and distracting attempt at a Boston accent. But all through the stupid movie he is saying "I axed her" "you ax her a question". It would be funny to me except that I paid to see the freaking thing and he is

so annoying.

But sometimes he can be hawt...kitchen counter scene in Revolutionary Road comes to mind...

To 22:52 - it affects you if the 45 year old pg woman works with you and you have to hear her whine like she's the only person who's ever been pregnant. No, you're just old as dirt to be doing the procreation thing. You chose it, and yes, you'll have much less vacation time off work and much less money. Welcome to the world of parenting, which your coworkers were initiated into 10 or 20 years earlier than you will be.

Wow. You are a bad, bad person. Instant karma's gonna get you.

Anonymous wrote:Can't remember the cereal, but the commercial about it with the woman and the dog. She says something like, "You know when I scratch your belly, and you make that mmm noise? Well this is mine."

She annoys the living fuck out of me, and I don't know why.

LMAO! Just the other night my husband and I saw this commercial and decided it was one of the most annoying ever!

I second that. And it was just last week that my son pointed it out to me as the worst commercial ever.
And the fact that you don't know the cereal confirms it's a bad commercial. The only part you remember is that woman saying, "Oh yeah"

Exactly! That is the most annoying part about her. Initially I felt bad that a complete stranger bothered me so much, then I thought, "Meh. I am just human."

People who say "for all intensive purposes" instead of "for all intents and purposes." Drive me NUTS!

The segue: "that being said".

So over used

"It is what it is."

As long as we're talking about grammar, this:

When people end a sense with "at," as in,

"Where's he at?"

"Where's your home at?"

Completely unnecessary and incorrect!

People who misspell my name. It's the sort of name that can be spelled several different ways and although my way of spelling it is not the most common, it is by no means unusual. I've been at my job and worked with the same people for thee years, exchanging emails with them daily, and it's almost like they purposefully misspell my name again and again.

That sounds frustrating. I have something similar... my name is Christina, and people constantly call me other names, like

Christine (that's the worst)
Kristin
Christie

Yes, the last one is a nickname for Christina, but that's not what I want to be called.

It's as if sounding out three syllables is too much for them. It can't be that difficult, can it? Lived with this my whole life. It's damn annoying. My name is also misspelled a lot, like PP's. I can only imagine what other people with more unique names must be going through.

Constant misuse of the word "unique". Something cannot be sort of unique, more unique, less unique, or very unique. It either is, or is not.
