How did they do against VA Union and VDA?

Not sure. But they tied 2010 Bethesda in pool play and beat them in final in the Memorial Day weekend tournament I believe. Recently beat Richmond United in a friendly.

Bethesda played a lot of 2011’s that weekend. Missing quite a few players.

Play-ups happen all over the place and no longer need to be used as a qualifier to excuse results. Clubs have different development and competitive priorities that folks put too much into the results and less stock into whether, for example, they think their player or the group of players who have been together for the past couple of years are better soccer players.

Brave 2011s flexing with a comfortable win over FCV 2011s in a pre-season friendly…maybe the future isn’t FCV.

Fcv has no real feeder program. They recruit. Give them 3 years to field a competitive team.

So FCV doesn’t develop players, they just recruit? Got it.

They are also the best social media club anywhere.

Who's playing this weekend at VDA Cup? Haven't heard fom Arlington dad in a couple of days so assuming Arlington '11s are not involved. Union parents are always the quiet ones... hmm?

No Arlington but decent matchups with VDA, BSC, and Union. VDA and Arlington made it to top bracket for WAGS in the same group. NVA, BSC, and Beach will be in the other group amongst other good competition. Should be a good few months of games for all.

Does anybody really prefer people to be loud and boast about their U13 team?

Loudest parents are usually Arlington and teams from PWC including VDA.

I’m one of the people who has talked about how good Arlington 2011s are on this thread, but I don’t have a kid at Arlington (they’re on other ECNL & NCSL teams).

That said, I know some of their players and have seen them play. It’s good for the area to have such a strong team. Arlington is by no means the strongest club in the area, so I don’t mind pulling for a single team at another club.

I also like that the team has been together for awhile.

It is nice that it’s about the only true singular ECNL club in the area. The rest are some sort of ‘alliance’. Unfortunate for their lower teams since they have so many but I guess that’s good in that their pool they pull from will be from inside and not outside typically.

It’s a true singular club that is the LARGEST youth soccer club in virginia. It is larger than all of these “alliances” combined.

Word. Imagine if there was one "club" for the entirety of Fairfax County to put together a team for ECNL.
