The international (meaning, foreign National) students attending US boarding schools generally come from extremely wealthy families. A kid attending a state school in Slough, England isn’t dominating elite US university admissions.

I am specifically talking about the kids who are boarding at Prep, who are "international" in that their place of residence are in places like China. I think that was quite obvious. Bottom line, the regular local, non athlete, folk at Prep aren't doing so well in admissions.

They are not admitting the best and brightest from the k-8's so it's not surprising. They are admitting the middle of the road students.

That's blatantly false information

They admit the hooked kids, not the smartest kids, college matriculation is the natural result.

New posts:

ANOTHER Princeton, ANOTHER UVA, and Georgetown.

(Note: I suspect there will be several going to Georgetown which is extremely competitive.)

Bucknell, too, which many consider a top 20 school.

The principal of our parish K-8, recommended Prep for my son who will be in 8th next year and is at the top of the class academically. She recommended it over Gonzaga, SJC, and OLGC in terms of the quality and depth of the education.

Not surprised. Prep is by far the best school in the area perhaps even the country. And it’s been around since literally the 1700s.

How do you explain the fact that a Nigerian American (from Illinois) is attending Princeton in the fall? Princeton is probably the most elite college destination among Prep students this year.

The other Princeton commit is a white male from Maryland. So I’m not convinced that wealthy foreign students are dominating elite college admissions this year.
