Why did you say "literally" certifiable? You shot yourself in the foot. |
being so concerned about the potential for dirt and germs that she made a thing of it would qualify for a DSM-5 diagnosis for sure. |
or, alternately, "gee I asked someone to do this thing we customarily do, and then they openly didn't do it." You're making it about germs. Maybe she was making it about the friend ignoring that (in the moment, innocent intentioned or not) |
Ok, she's literally a certifiable A-hole. |
Yes, I posted about this upthread. I got so sick of my "friends" deliberately choosing to disrespect my wishes. WTH. |
I am assuming that I walk with a cane and have special shoes,?!!! I am not angry but I think "no shoes in house nazis" are unhinged. |
Well that's not the scenario here is it. The thread is not about you. I'm sure the "no shoes in house nazis" make exceptions for you. Then again, with your attitude towards them, maybe they're happy not to invite you at all. |
I'd be more concerned that hostess complained to a mutual friend. |
Reading comprehension fail. |
She FORGOT. We do not wear shoes on the house. If I had a friend over, and they put their shoes on to leave, and THE SPRINKLER WAS ON, and the person just was on autopilot and walked 20 feet to the other exit…NBD. That’s not disrespecting your wishes. If it was so important to OP’s “friend”, she should have given her a reminder to take off her shoes. Or, you know, just turned off the sprinkler. Or just steam mopped the floor OP walked over. There is no right option that includes talking smack about the OP. |
You make your friends walk through sprinklers? Jerk. |
