Level IV--when do decisions come out?

How can I politely ask the AART teacher for my kid’s packet?

Just say something like you are interested in the teachers' observations in order to know what to work on with the child at home. It's way more personalized than a report card, so this is legit.

Hi Ms. Smith, I would like my child's level IV application packet. Thanks, Larla

This sounds like an April fools joke.
is

That kind of makes sense, for those schools with a cruel sense of humor. Knowing how invested parents are in this, call a premature meeting, and then cancel when there are no eligible kids yet. Maybe just leave a sign on the front door: Meeting cancelled due to delay in AAP decisions. . Probably not a way to endear the school admin to the parents though!

Sure, I wonder how they would feel about parents volunteering to monitor lunch or chaperone field trips and then announcing April fools day of

Just ask for the packet. "I am interested in seeing my child's packet. Please provide me with the packet when you are allowed to."

It is no different then asking for a report card or iReady reports. I actually think they should just send them out to families once the decisions are made and not make it something people have to ask for, like a report card.

People are claiming insider information, but this is an anonymous board where some have already claimed to have their results too.

DC's school just scheduled an informational meeting for Friday morning for parents to get information about staying local or going to the center. I don't think they would do it then if they thought we'd get results tomorrow evening and possibly have freshly upset parents at the meeting asking about the appeal process or complaining their kid didn't get in. Friday is a staff day, which would make Friday evening more on par with their trend of doing it after parents can call to complain. They could have decided sending the notices on April Fools day isn't good and maybe hold them until Mon 4/4. Does anyone know if the central office staff get Spring Break off also?

It wouldn't really make sense to have the meeting if parents didn't already know the results, though. It's a waste of time if parents go to the meeting and then later they find out their kid is not selected.

The poster you replied to here. I agree, but the information about the meeting was sent to the whole class and directed to people who applied for the program with no indication any of us will know yet. It's not a high SES school, but there is an immersion program. From the email it seemed the focus for the meeting would be to explain the two options -- stay at the school with immersion or go to the center for level IV. I don't know if the non-immersion classes are having a meeting tomorrow also. I plan to attend either way because if DC isn't level IV, I think he would be level III and I want to know more about what that program looks like at our school. They may want to encourage parents of kids who get in on appeal to get the information now also.

It’s 3/31 and no results. I heard they are coming out tomorrow.

It probably says a lot about the location of the school. Meeting on April 1st, probably a high SES school

I don't know about the other school with a Level IV meeting tomorrow but our school is the lowest of the low SES.

No letter showing in my USPS notification for today. Maybe tomorrow...

The email comes first according to a friend whose kid got in last Herat. I think the April 4-5 dates on the website are indicated for the letter that follows. I imagine the email will come out tonight or tomorrow am.
